Jut got through on the phones. They have a message up that says "As of 10:37am, some customers may be having trouble connecting to the system. We are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible." I wonder how widespread this is.

I was with you on the first two Htrader. I wrote in "more shortable stocks" for my third. You'd think with the volume that IB does, that we could get a better list with more permanent names (that don't get removed during good shorting periods.) Many on the list aren't shortable anyway.

That does sound nice...except for one thing. Gateway. I had a Gateway and it was a nightmare. The system kept freezing right after I bought it. I mean a hard freeze, no keyboard buffer, no alt-ctrl-del, nothing...almost like it was electrical or something. I had an extended warranty...
