I'm learning in options myself but this far I've concluded that there just needs to be more profit involved to make up for the spreads. SPY is about as liquid as you're gonna get. I'm sure you already know but deep ITM spreads are usually way bigger than nearer the money or ATM etc.

To attempt any new endeavor requires "too much" confidence, by definition you're saying to yourself "I have no idea what I'm doing but it will work in the end because I will learn and grow and make it work."

I can tell you if you take the series 65 route the test is easy AF, nothing like the series 7 in terms of difficulty. I'm not 100% sure as it's been a while but I think you would also need the series 63 and register in the state(s) your clients live in, also a very easy exam.
