Same thing that happened to a bunch of the BDs in Direct Access, they ran out of money and traders. Point Direx developed their own software which was a huge expense, and then after 2001 the market downturn, and it all went down, but they survived until 2003. Many others went with them.

The Pattern Day Trading Rule prevents someone who has less than $25,000 from trading in and out of stocks on a inter day basis. There is no reason for the rule, but the SEC, in its divine wisdom, feels it protects the small investor or trader. It does not really protect anything. Now...

Yeah, you study hard, take the TEST FROM HELL, then the SEC, and the NASD make and enforce rules, so you cannot make money. You cannot short, unless on a uptick You cannot trade unless you have $25,000 or more in your account You cannot pass go or collect $200 dollars.

The MACD is a cross system, and I use it, but a new trader may not understand that it LAGS, its not an instant indicator. But I can imagine, trying to trade a currency pair, and getting my head ripped off on quick move looking at their "software", with a 9 minute lag, lol!.

I've got a theory on regulation. The SEC and NASD destroyed the Day Trading Industry, with the Pattern Day Trading Rule. The SEC regulates and still does not protect the consumer, usually costs the consumer more. Hopefully FOREX can stay out of the hands of the SEC.

This is what the SEC calls protecting the customer. In my opinion thats what caused the Direct Access Stock Trading to take a huge nose dive off a cliff. They stopped the small accounts from Day Trading.

Read my post I mentioned "Ideas" in relationship to this Forum, not MTrader. UNINVITED you are stuck on burning people that say anything about FOREX. I think FOREX is a great way to make a living, and many Day Traders that I know are interested in it. Mountain Trader is positive on it...

UNIVITED you're depressed about something and you're taking it out on me and mountaintrader. Could it have something to do with REFCO? If it does I can understand where you are coming from. The Refco problem will be resolved by the buyout. So quit trying to RAIN on everybody else.
