how will Canada fare if global economy collapses?

I just found this here: http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=A1ARTA0003425 "It is estimated that between 1929 and 1933 Gross National Expenditure declined by 42%, by the latter year 30% of the LABOUR FORCE was unemployed, and 1 in 5 Canadians became dependent...

    ES-contracts in Euros

This is lame how they quote the contract at 100 times the ES.

    ES-contracts in Euros

If this is the big Euro yearly chart pullback, then the EME could be the way to go.

    Big SPs go side-by side?

I forgot to call the CME. Have you ever tried to contact the CME on speculative questions? I have done that and gotten nowhere. We're locked limit down and I'm still pounding the table. Most of the loser traders on ET won't even be around after this one...

    Big SPs go side-by side?

Traderzones, I'm not the biggest trader, but I can assure you that I don't paper trade....and I can assure you that I represent a company with the #1 mutual fund picking letter right now. If you'd like, you can PM me. We can chat on the phone and I'll show you the latest video of our head...

    Big SPs go side-by side?

Well you are forgetting that the multiplier DOES matter because there are position limits. You not allowed to hold a position of more than 10,000 ES contracts. So yes, the multiplier does matter and at some point, I will need more size than that since 10K SIZE ES is only 2K SIZE SPs

    Big SPs go side-by side?

Let me reiterate, and thank you all for the comments. When will the Pit Traded SPs go electronic and trade side-by-side with the pit SPs?

    Big SPs go side-by side?

because I was confronted on my knowledge of market history...and most people that I know are broke now because they didn't listen to me and they chose to listen to the collective stupidity of the investment banks that they used to work for. Also the fund that I represent is probably in the...

    Big SPs go side-by side?

don't even talk to me about market history, pal. I've been pounding the table about the coming great depression for the last 4 years. I faced ridicule from all of my peers. I lost so many friends in the financial industry. Now myself and my family are thriving and many of the people that...

    Big SPs go side-by side?

My buddies would trade in that $500 multiplier SP. Full position for them at the time was 4000 lots. That's 40,000 ES contracts. But back then the SPs barely moved.

    Big SPs go side-by side?

When are the big SP futures going to go side-by-side electronic with the pit? This is ridiculous that there is still a pit. I need to trade the bigs, minies are about to become too small for me.

    ES Margins

Raising margins is dumb. Back in 2003, the ES was rocking out at the same levels and the margins were next to nothing.

    NIFTY futures

SGX volumes suck. You need to open an account in East India to trade the liquid contracts. I don't know if you can do that. You can trade Indian ETFs

    5% - 10% profit per day trading

Spanish, It's nice to see that you learned to not listen to other people so early on in your career. Listening to other people has cost me $100s of thousands in both losses and opportunity cost. It think that percentages don't really mean a thing. You have been making money because...

Bonds v. Stocks in the New Fed Backed Stock Market

Put it this way: Bonds have an embedded put = If company goes broke, I still might get something when they sell assets. Stocks now have an embedded put = If company goes broke, US government and the Fed Reserve could buy shares of stock and the price will go back up a bit and I will not...

    Open Outcry

Which futures pits in Chicago and New York still have open outcry? When are the big S&Ps going electronic or at least side-by-side electronic?

They just banned short selling in US

Short selling is banned and insurers are still tanking. This nullifies the theory that aggressive short selling is the only reason that insurers and banks are failing. I can think of a couple of DEMOCRAT US SENATORS who have destroyed companies with their comments. Harry Reid (Democrat)...
