    Futures account size for trading

$500-$1000 for micros. $2000-5000 for full contracts. However with high volatility many (or all) brokers raise the requirements on the full contracts. I've seen it go up to $16k back in 2020, guessing it may be $20k now. I haven't traded my personal account in a while, so maybe someone else...

My point exactly. It's a way to turn that corner and set yourself up with several tens of thousands of dollars potentially with close to no risk, assuming you turned the right corner of course.

With my account at OneUP, just like with UProfit, you need to earn 8k + 2.5k. So 10.5k, and you can withdraw 100% of your 8k. The assignment fee is $150 at UProfit on the $50k account on top of the account cost which makes it $310 as you said. I got my account at $80 with a christmas deal...

It's with UProfit, and from what I can tell it will work almost exactly the same as OneUp, but with some less rules on how to trade. Other than that it should be about the same for withdrawing. First 8k 100%. Then 80/20 but you have to wait some time to withdraw beyond 8k or get a lower profit...

This is exactly what I did, especially in the beginning. I passed for funding several times, then occasionally slipped up and had to start over, or I got reckless in an evaluation sometimes and had to repeat it. One time I got past an evaluation easily, and the futures market volatility ramped...

LEGITIMATE question: how do you buy when price is rising?

I wouldn't. Wait for a proper correction or skip the trade. There's a million other trades out there that are just starting to take off.

A good strategy will prevent you from being on the wrong side of the market to the point of ever reaching these wide loss limits. OneUpTrader, which only allows 1 account. This 2nd company is slightly more expensive but also has no monthly fees, so I am giving them a shot. I don't know many...

Do you think I will somehow fail the next 4 days? My point is that generating these profits in a month should be brainless for anyone who puts in enough work. Also, I have already passed with another company with a more difficult set of rules. This is going to be my second simultaneous account...

I felt like adding to the earlier discussion because I wanted to show just how easy it is to pass these programs in the ~1 month that most of them require. Someone said it should take an average of 3 months, which was quite funny to me. Disclaimer: I want aspiring traders to know that you...

Yes I know, I was just saying that to eliminate all your risk in exchange for a worse profit split of something like 60/40 is still a good situation for many. Or 70/30. But 80/20 with 100% of 8k is incredible. This sounds really bad. I don't think you have a very good strategy if you are...

No they do not tell me if it's day-trade discounts, and it very likely is. They make money off of people failing as well as profitable traders profiting. That is their business model, like it or not, and tbh I don't really care personally whether they are cackling and thinking "oh boy another...

So who cares if they don't? You get to trade 1-6 full contracts (normally $850 daytrade margin, up to ~$20-23k margin in volatile markets) with no restriction besides these rules. So including a $2500 drawdown, you're using something like $1700 + $2500 at first (2 contracts), but you can trade...

You know you CAN easily set rules on an account and let someone trade capital in this world right? It doesn't have to be total freedom to be legit. It doesn't have to be ridiculous or illegal just to say "be more strict with your trading, follow these rules or you don't get these funds". I...
