    Proprietary Trader Split

A true prop firm will pay a base and you trade their money. like First New York Securities. If you wondering about a professional trading organization like Bright trading for example (S7 needed, clean u4, use of leverage) which I assume you are; several "professional firms" offer 100%...

    Recommendation on Trading Book

books on trading are garbage for the most part. They will never walk you through an edge or give you much information to profit in the markets. Most books are outdated. If you want to get better understanding of trading, markets, ECNs thats fine "day trading for dummies" will work for general...

a clean u4 means drug free too? :D lets not make the U4 process any longer! so no ideas here. I could imagine them making a drug test part of the process and adding a $499 service for that

    Taxation

You need to ask the compliance officer of the firm. Several prop firms issue a K1 statement at the end of the year. It is really simple to do K1 taxes. So with a K1; your end of the year net income is taxed as ordinary income.

    Managed Money

Several of prop firms will not allow "third party" deposits. why not just get a prime brokerage account and do it the correct way?

    50k trading account profits?

don't look at it as your account size vs your projected profits. I trade with a prop firm and I have well over a million in buying power. you need to figure out profits or success on an edge per share basis, not account size. A trader with an edge per share .02 is a great trader...
