These quote delays have become quite a regular problem. It seems that quite often they are worse in the afternoon. It sure would be nice to be able to rely on what is displayed on TWS with confidence and not have to waste time double checking quotes.

I have sent IB cashiers checks on two occasions, and it worked great. In fact, it didn't take much longer than wiring the money. It looks like personal checks are a different story though.

When I had this problem I found that lowering my position size way down really helped. After several successful trades I started easing the size up a little at a time. Pretty soon, the bigger size is just as comfortable as the smaller size was. Good luck.

As you can see, there are a lot of different approaches. Personally, I watch eight stocks all from the same sector. I use them as indicators for each other.
