    Iterative Refinement

When I reviewed your trade I noted the following: 12:00 bar was second VE so reason to start thinking "FTT", but since no flaws occurred before this bar one might hold and closely monitor YM for change. In forming the flaw that followed, 12:05 had 75% black volume which is in line with FTT...

what is amazing is that you are trying to use this method without drawing the channels. Completely annotate your chart then look for FTT's. I bet you will see things differently.

sure looks like it - but unless we wait 11 more months we are making an intrabar decision. :) It is interesting to note how all of the annual bars closed so near their highs during the dominant long channels except for last year, and how nicely the vol bars formed the Gaussians. I don't know...

Long Trade 13:15 entry for 5.75 points ENTRY MADA: at 13:00 FTT of purple short channel established pt3 of blue long channel. After BO and SMA was cleared, I entered long on 13:15 bar when volume came in and high of prev bar was taken out. Exited on 13:10 bar when prv showed ~ 67% and...

Pr0: I noticed you took the similar trade but forgot to mention in my post. bi9: my exit was poor, particularly since I was anticipating a pt3 for a larger short channel. I was aware that my profit was eroding and I over-reacted when the black vol kicked in.

Here's my short trade entered on the 13:05 bar: Entry MADA = FTT of teal long channel, break of prev. bar low on +PRV. Anticipated sequence is retrace to RTL, monitor price action at SMA and RTL for FBO. Price then rocketed lower after RTL BO on reduced volume. After the larger pt2 was...

they also looked very familiar to me and your previous discussion helped me to ID the proper pt 3 today. I really blew the similar scenario yesterday AM. thanks, Rick

I'm no expert but it is my understanding that you invoke APA on your entry bar at the point it reverses against your position by dropping down to 1 minute using IF1,2 on this interval for the duration of the 5 minute ES (entry) bar. Then go back to IF1,2 as normal. reference from...

add a down trend line starting at 11:05 and the 20SMA to your ES chart and it will add additional perspective. I entered at 1430.50, probably a little late but I like the above mentioned lines to be cleared.

I'm not attesting to their usefulness but it was previously stated that it would be discussed this month so some significance must have been attached at that point. I guess Spyder determined since then that is wasn't that important.

why do this instead of close your position and then take the new position when you feel it is confirmed? The net effect is the same. The best strategy IMO, is to reverse asap (as close as possible to the bar extreme) so you are in a better position to wash if wrong. There has been much...

Does you broker and Globex allow opposite positions in the same account? I don't know about this, but you may need to use two accounts.

you picked an interesting example as the :50 is an OSB (slightly different rules) and volume decreased through the entire area. I don't know why Spy showed an increasing red Gaus right there. Anyway, I think this post is very relevant to your concerns and worth review...

H, does this make sense? Keep it at the tree level. Your 11:45 FTT (go L) was a tree level followed by a pt 3 for that new channel at 11:55. Then next tree FTT (go S) at 12:20. Next pt 3 12:40, FTT (go L)12:45. All at same level. edit: granted these trees are skinny

This is where I'm coming from on this cnms2 diagram. I'm not addressing your idea and Pro's response. Jack's "pure" SCT ~ 40 trades/day. Expert skill set. IMO cnms2 diagram example similar to below. (Spyder's quote was before change of Forest trade pt 3 entry rule.) Spyder 1/30/07...

This is FTT - FTT trading. It is more advanced than the "beginner FTT" trading originally discussed because one doesn't exit on the FBO. Bundle and others have lost the context of Spyder's change to beginner Pt3 entry, RTL exit rules. This change was for training purposes because we were...
