Personally I am playing double diagonals setup so the underlying has to either break 6 month lows or 6 month highs for me to lose money. So far it's doing very well for me.

I agree with the Cable + DSL but you should also make sure you have a UPS that can keep your modems, PC, and monitors on long enough for you to exit any positions you have open in case of complete power failure. I personally also have a phone with Windows Mobile and have DL'ed my brokers...

I would suggest you back out of real trading and paper trade (or do more if you already did) you you can't make paper profitable then you have no chance of doing it with real money.

You can also look at <a href="http://www.marketgear.com/index.jsp">OPUS</a> for about $60/month OR if you use Think or Swim for a broker they have these tools built into the platform for free. Is Optionscope built into MetaStock or is it separate? How much is it?

Options usually are not exercised until within a few day of expiration or on the last day of trading and then only if the option is ITM enough to cover any commissions associated with someone exercising and making a profit. You really need to learn to analyze what happens as the stock price...

This wouldn't affect the Nasdaq at all since it's all computer based and has redundant systems in multiple geo's. Also if I am not mistaken the NYSE has a catastrophe plan in place but I am not 100% sure what it all entails.
