    PC for charting and news

After a bit more surfing around I see that a 1333 FSB would be better off with PC3-10600 memory, which is actually a bit more expensive (but also very fast, providing 21 GB/s).

    PC for charting and news

RAM is so ridiculously cheap now, so it's not something I've skimped on. It might not be needed at all times, but I'm not that experienced with Investor RT to know if it could use it with a large database and about 30 charts open at the same time. I opted for NVS 440 mainly for the...

    PC for charting and news

I'm building another PC, mainly for charting and news - but also to run TWS as a backup broker. Here's what I'm currently planning to buy: ------------------ ANTEC NSK4000 Mini Tower Case, 1x120mm fan ASUS Maximus Formula, X38, Socket-775, DDR2, ATX, 2xGbLAN, Firew, 2xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16 INTEL...

    Don Bright's Opening Order Strategy

I absolutely don't mean any offense, but I find the amounts they're making off that strategy rather on the low side - and no it's not only the USD that makes me think so... Sure, I get that it can be a nice strategy to complement other strategies - it doesn't take that long, can probably be...

    Multi-monitor stand for seven screens

Thanks for your detailed reply, MrGecko. Perhaps you're right, and that two four-screen stands might be the best way forward. I'm planning to use this with 2 pc's, where one will run six screens using two Quadro NVS 440 cards from Nvidia. I already have 4 20.1" monitors from Viewsonic...

    Multi-monitor stand for seven screens

Thanks, that sure looks sweet. Doesn't seem like it's released just yet, and I have a feeling it will be a tad expensive. (I wonder why I care as I'm just ordering pc-parts many times more expensive).

Wheat Limit UP again today mon feb 25--25k at bid...get in?

I agree that there's no reason to sell Wheat now, but I thought the massive bids every time there's a limit up is because you get pro-rata fills (proportionate according to your % of the bid size)? So it's not "real" demand if you catch my meaning, even though you can hit it if you'd like.

    Multi-monitor stand for seven screens

I'm browsing around the various multi-monitor stands offered by Ergotron, iMount, Quadvision, Keyzone etc but am unable to find a stand that allows me to have three screens in a top row centered over a row of four screens. Basicly a system that's flexible for more than six screens. I swear...

    Youngtrader's Commodity Journal

I did grab a few eurocents on just a few contracts in the schatz yesterday :) It's not what I usually do, but I'm a big Eurex-fan actually.

    Seasonal spreads

OK, I've completely gone ahead and missed an entry now - I had the following spread for Feb 17th, but have been watching it on and off for a few weeks: Long Jun ZT 10-Year Note / Short Jun ZB 30-Year Bond This was at around 93.500-94.000 a few weeks ago, and it's been climbing very nicely...

    Seasonal spreads

Yes, you're right - I'm not a subscriber to MRCI's online service. I do use Scarrtrading, but unfortunately it doesn't support the RBOB contract! The timing was simply from watching the chart of the spread, it did have a serious bounce up right before I got in. I'm currently in the red, but...

    Is a Bloomberg worth it?

A good thing with Bloomberg is the ability to gain access to analysis and estimates from banks you have a relationship with. But it's so right; the charts looks like they're from 1992 and it's got this DOS-feeling...

    Cornering in Minneapolis Wheat Market?

First of all; I'm not in any way in-the-know of what they say on the floor - I don't even pit trade Wheat. But look at the CBOT-volume - electronic is dominating the floor. I've been watching the price action a lot, and there is obviously a lot of arbitrage between the floor and Globex...

Wheat Limit Up AGAIN (+60 cents)

Shorted May and got long July @ -160 - it's safer with the spreads now imho - although this spread moved about 100 in the last few weeks.

    Ran Poor Service

There is only ONE point to a squawk service: To have someone human reading one gazillion different news services and watching a wide variety of tv channels and the instant "something important" shows up squawk it out clear and concise. No analysis. No sports results. No commentary. Just news...

Time for some action again: Bought 1 Jun RB RBOB Gasoline / Sold 1 Jun HO Heating Oil @ 0.0315 Bought 1 Jul RB RBOB Gasoline / Sold 1 Jul HO Heating Oil @ 0.0310 I did leg in, so in the June my entry is quite favourable. Looking to hold for about 1.5 months, with my Profit Target for...

    Seasonal spreads

What I meant here, is that the seasonality I'm trying to exploit also brings additional opportunities: In the period leading up to my entry, and the period after my exit. Meaning; counter-trades before and after. Sorry it wasn't too clear. I am not to keen to check for examples, but I distinctly...
