I like Interactive Brokers. I'm referring to IB's (introducing brokers), not the firm Interactive Brokers.

Go peddle your firm elsewhere. I probably don't know the business very well, but all I'm saying is that these commissions in general are to high for the service I feel I'm getting. Just my opinion(everyone has one). :p

Darn, a price war between brokers is exactly what I want. The lower the better. I don't think IB's are worth the commissions they charge. They are just a customer service intermediary between the FCM and I found that they are rarely needed for anything other than to collect their commissions.

For Pats J-Trader, Elocal, Global futures, and advanced futures you get $5.90 roundturn all fees, I know this for a fact. and they all clear at RCG as well. You probably can pay less if you bargain. So FFastTrade needs to lower the Pats commissions to be competitive for that platform.

I agree, but the problem is that unless you can prove that you have some sort of dependency(which is unlikely) from trade to trade and that you have a filter to skip certain trades(taking advantage of this knowledge), you will most likely do more harm than good by not taking all the signals...

Well, if you do that on a regular basis, I'm sure they would close your account. They should call you if you have a margin call or the next day they will tell you to make sure that you are Flat.

Whatever works for you I guess... To each his own. I still say you need the scars first to build on but thats just my opinion. I blew out three accounts doing this, but it definitely has paid off in terms of where I feel I'm at today compared to two years ago.

True, but how do you graduate from the novice stage if you don't get the trading experience in the particular security? I say take your beating(s) and maybe you can learn something good from it and next time you build from there.
