    A simple price action approach

anglagard, Don't have a real good answer for you. Others may have a better answer. I will share my 2 cents. Unfortunately nothing works consistently (or precise) in trading. Thing that worked in the past 2 weeks may not work next week (though some gurus sell system that they claim work all...

anglagard, You posted good charts and also posted good questions. Good work. Different people have different definitions of trend. One easy definition is, a clear channel you draw is the trend in that time frame. Within that channel you take trades in the direction of the channel so that you...

HuggieBear's Official 2011 Thread of Market Domination

There is so much truth to that statement. Many of the longs that looks like crap when you take it leads to some good trades. Mind makes one to think this is not going to work and hence forces the trader to close the trade before it has a chance to work itself. Best solution is to put in your...

The problem with this long is its the 4th test of the upchannel. Typically I personally try to avoid areas that has more than one test. Buster

    2011: Rebuilding My Battered Account

if you were shorting you would have been a counter trend player couple of weeks ago. If your trend definition was bearish, not sure what made you bearish at that time. B

    Day trading difficulties

Such is the trend. Some days are clear to read and other days its not in the intraday chart. 20 EMA is quite useful on trendy days. By the time one figures out Intraday trend has changed or it starts to chop, you already have taken a stop or two :-)

    A simple price action approach

Many times I am never able to understand why someone is able to successfully trade 6 contracts of CL and catch 100s of ticks (like in the video) and still focusses on selling trading room memberships and indicators instead of increasing their size :-) In any case two interesting points from...

NoDoji, Good posts earlier. Looks like all your trading is primarily on CL. Do you also trade ES / NQ? Have you traded them before and stopped and moved on to CL? Buster

Is there a ETF / Stock that closely tracks CL from a PA perspective? Was looking at USO but its not as volatile as CL. B

    CL Redux

NoDoji, Good evening. Curious what is your avg stop in CL? When using 2BR in 5mins CL chart most times the stop is close to .25. In one of your posts I remember reading you use .1 stop in Cl so was curious. Even the typical pierce of 20 EMA is typically > 0.1. In references to 2BR...

    Avoiding Bad Trades

Good post NoDoji. When you have two support zones next to each other like in this case 20 EMA and Prev R as S, one technique I like to do is, place a limit inbetween the two and stop below the lowest S. You do miss trades with this technique if it does not pierce. My 2 cents. Buster

Thanks for the good post Metal. At what point do you start taking counter trend signals. With the benefit of the hind sight I can see that one can switch from drawing UTL from DTL. For example in your 2nd chart. when price did a HH around 14:00, I would have redrawn the UTL with the 2nd...
