I don't think there is the best leverage amount, you can always set your risk using lot size. Leverage just determines your ability to open position that exceeds your own capital but it still has a great deal of flexibility.

Hotforex charges 4$ round-turn commission, heard that is the lowest but I guess many brokers charge this amount. What you should pay attention to is slippage and tightness of spreads, unfortunately unless you try it by hands there is no way to figure out how good is the broker in this regard.

I also try to steer clear from no-deposit brokers because consider it primitive marketing gimmick, strong indication that the broker may be a bucketshop that hunts for inexperienced traders and trades against them.
