    a question about Swifttrade

Well i don't know much about Kim's book but chances are there's little intrinsic value now, or at least information that most traders don't already know about.

    Kingston, Ontario

Bright Trading would have setup shop in Toronto if they could be in Ontario. Kingston's a nice city, having grown up in Eastern Ontario myself, but i don't think there would be enough interest for a trading shop. Ottawa and Toronto still aren't that far away...

    looking to trade part time

Yeah i'm sorry, i think that approach may do you more harm than good...do some swing trading for now, get some books, work at it that way.

Taking 76K to 500K by Year End

You need to change your mindset for these discretionary trades (turn them into mechanical trades)...react, don't predict.

what's the benefit of prop vs retail?

I got a great home office, it was a suggestion for yourself. I have a cat, and as long as he doesn't jump on my desk he's all the company i need :) I've traded in an office before...i'll go back at some point, but there's no need at the present.

what's the benefit of prop vs retail?

It sounds like you want a trading environment just for a different setting...in which case you could turn your garage into an office to accomodate a group of traders.

My Experience at a Prop Firm

Well I wouldn't say i'm comfortable with my trading, i'm making constant adjustments. Actually tonight I plan on spending a few hours to tweak my edge for this current low volatility environment. In fact, one of the traders is my group does trade futures regularly (his success is comparable...

Who else thinks Swift canada is toast?

I thought this was funny :) ...kinda like the time the BM was telling everyone he was short and then the office got hammered on a market rip (you know we all traded the same stock, probably with each other), 5 minutes later he was jonny LONG on the spot criticizing our shorts...ahh memories :)

    Title Trading

Very good post ThePropTrader...there are many people on ET that claim those that teach can't trade, which is complete horeshit. Case in point, look at the turtles.

My Experience at a Prop Firm

Hydro I've always respected your opinions, but there's one thing you have to realize and that is there are many Bright traders doing very well trading equities. If i've got an edge trading pairs, why would I bother looking into another trading instrument?

    Swift Trade Training

Indirectly you'll learn whether or not you have a passion for trading. So I guess you could say they teach you that.

    Swift Trade Training

Easy Killer. Don't go making blanket statements on all prop firms if your only experience comes from bucket shops like swift trade.

Who else thinks Swift canada is toast?

Yeah that's who i meant :) Maybe Beck and company don't care about whether swift is around for the longterm because they've already locked in so much in profit?

Who else thinks Swift canada is toast?

Hey is Peter Kim still involved in Swift, or is it just the one man wrecking ball Beck?

Who else thinks Swift canada is toast?

You know that's one thing i never realized with many swift traders, why they would be so stubborn and set in their ways...this is trading, you need to adapt and be flexible. I remember way back in my swift days there was a trader struggling every month to achieve the 3k contract level. He...
