SEASON 2, thursday TV WALLSTREET WARRIORS

Luck....he cashed out before he could give it all back. And now when he's trading with an actual methodology, he has negative gains. He closed his hedge fund which was short-biased as the markets are selling off, what does that tell you?

SEASON 2, thursday TV WALLSTREET WARRIORS

Well we know he can't fucking trade so he probably has lots of extra time on his hands.

SEASON 2, thursday TV WALLSTREET WARRIORS

That's nonsense...i don't know where you live but image means a lot to a lot of people. I know of a lot of people that live beyond their means just for meaningless objects, like a car. And i don't know what you guys have against Brett, he seems like he's for real giving his background and...

    Longer term trades-financials

Exactly. People tend to ignore what the subprime damage has done to these companies, that previous fundamentals are no longer applicable. Didn't rogers predice C to slide down to the teens? As for me, i'll continue to trade it short against JPM Long.

    Swift Trade Question

Okay I didn't realize the branch manager had his/her own separate deal, which makes sense. I think that's the case in Ottawa, where the only trader is the branch manager (or so i've been told).

Joab you there? Is it any surprise he disappears when i call him out on his trading? Go back to paper trading and save your posts until it resembles intelligence.

Don Bright and a losing trader

I believe Bright had a banner year last in 2007...450-500 traders, i really don't think the firm is hurting (with many tossing good size around). Maybe you're a disgruntled trader that did blow his account and is bitter at the firm, that doesn't mean everyone else did.

Don Bright and a losing trader

A trader should never be in that position in the first place, you can objectively manage risk, but there's risk managers constantly watching position sizing, that's what margin calls are for.

Could I get a prop deal with these parameters? From Bright or other reputable shops

You need the series 7 at Bright, no way getting around that. Not sure what you mean by live away from home? You can trade remote with a lot of prop firms pretty much anywhere in the world, but at Bright (and i assume others) you have to be instantly reached via IM/phone or both when you're...

At Bright? That's pretty slanderous, you got any facts to back that up?

    Looking to get into prop.

Okay but there are equity shops trading using lots of leverage and using more advanced strategies than just plain directional momentum plays. And this is kinda what you're getting at, highlighting the positives of the broader economic perspective but also mentioning hurdles (coming to chicago...

    Looking to get into prop.

Sounds like you're looking for larger intraday moves, catching breakouts or going with overall market direction. Swift isn't that good of a place for that, if you could make money trading doing that strategy using a TD account you can do the same using a no frills IB or Questrade style broker...

Don Bright and a losing trader

Don probably wouldn't handle that trader 1on1 unless he blew his/her account which i don't think happens very often. There's a pretty large network of mentors/managers/risk monitors in place that offer constant assistance whenever needed.

    Looking to get into prop.

Who are you trading through for those commissions? Sounds like it's an investment account with RBC or TD, if that's the case you're just looking for a swing-trading type setup. There's a number of prop firms that might be a better setup for you than the swift model if you're putting your own...

Are you a cheerleader for the futures market? How many times have you posted this message verbatim, whether or not it has anything to do with what the OP is talking about. Just because you don't know of equity traders doing well, doesn't mean they don't exist.
