so if im in and out of a stock 10 times a day and lose money every time I can deduct the total amount of my losses correct? But if I made money on one trade then everything would be a wash sale and I couldn't deduct anything right?

Say you buy XYZ and lose money. Then you buy it again and lose money. Then you buy it again and lose money. Can you deduct these loses or is it a "wash sale"? thanks guys

It's about releasing yourself from the emotional attachment of money. You can't even think about money (making/losing) when your trading, only what the market is telling you to do. great advice, becoming consistantly profitable is my goal for 09 and my half-ass record keeping isn't gonna cut it. what do you include in your trading log? entry/exit time, # of shares, stop/target, reason for trade, stock sym, .... what else would you include?
