    New (NASD) fee

Just got an email from my broker saying there is a new fee effective tommorow. It's called the trading activity fee, by the NASD, not the SEC, and it is $0.0001 per share, with a max fee of $10.

Starting A New Trading Account...Can I do Better...

What about the PDT? I assume this still affects the account if you have only $5 or $10k in the account.

    PDT account / age

I need a new broker is what I am saying. The broker I use right now charges too much in commission, 12.95 per ticket, plus ECN fees. That kills me, especially since I do not like to purchase a position in one shot, I like to scale it in most of the time.

    PDT account / age

I'm 18, I have $35,000 that I trade with, but its the biggest pain with only being able to trade 3 day trades in 4 days. That serverly limits my trading, and causes me to have to be ultra-selective with my trades. I have a cash account as well, with that I am only limited to the cash that I...

    IB min. age

Good point. I didn't lie, I just entered in the wrong date. My keyboard is messed up. I'm not going to trade with them, nor finish the process. I didn't plan on trading futures at the CME anyway. I just wanted to do stocks and securites options. I don't know about the CBOE and regional...

    IB min. age

Just tried to open an account with IB. It says "You must be 21 years of age or older" This is abusrd, I am 18, and am an adult now. Why can I not have an account? What direct-access brokerages will allow me to open an account that have resonable rates for stocks and options. Thanks

    Money.net Questions

Does Money.net support the s&p and nasdaq futures? In an old platform I used, I had sp3u and nd3u for september nasdaq 100 and s&p 500 futures. Thanks

    Trading Chat Rooms

Where are some trading chatrooms on the internet, whether on IRC or a website (I know this site has one). Just looking for other ideas... Thanks

    eSignal market depth

Seems very expensive and confusing. If I am correct, the only difference with the higher priced ones verus basic level II is the fact that it will show "hidden" reserve in the market depth, but not who it is? For instance if GSCO is at the best offer at 19.30, and showing 100 shares, but...

    eSignal market depth

That seems awfully pricy. Any other vendors to get this from? I also would like to know what the differences are between the different level 2 products. Total view, quoteview, etc, etc. Thanks

    level 2 quotes

I want level 2 quotes, what are my options. I haven't ordered any type of quote package in two years (almost) and I see that there are all of these different types, quote view, total view, etc, etc. I want a level 2 package that shows quotes (from market makers) , and also from the ECN's...

Trading Times -- When do you trade?

I worked at a market maker (liquidty provider, whatever they want to call it) and they don't have a lunch 'break'. They cater in-house and eat lunch at their desk. True however, 11-2:30 its really ho-hum boring...

    eSignal market depth

What are the differences in the exchange fees listed for market depth for nasdaq stocks? NASDAQ Level II (U.S.) NASDAQ ViewSuite: PowerView (U.S.) NASDAQ ViewSuite: TotalView (U.S.) Is there an add. $50 fee for having market depth in addition to the exchange fees and eSignal fees? Thanks

    Futures Daytrading

I can see how I came across as many others who have tried and lost it all. I do not intend to open my account and trade tommorow, or next week, or even next month. I am looking to learn, then fund my account then maybe trade. I am learning a little already. ES = E-mini S&p 500, NQ =...

    Futures Daytrading

What is the current price of one E-mini S&P 500 contract and one Nasdaq contract? Thanks for that link, according to their site, it says: "This is a move the investor can afford at this point. The performance bond, or margin, (the minimum "down payment" a trader needs to trade a contract)...

    IB Front - Ends?

Thanks. I just downloaded the standalone version, and I tired to logon using "edemo, edemo" but it wouldn't let me. Anyway, it appears to be a Java app as well, and I tend to be a little bit biased against them just becuase I personally don't like the feel. I could get used to it I suppose...

    Futures Daytrading

Pardon my igorance, but I have a few /simple/ questions. How much does an e-mini S&P 500 contract cost? A nasdaq? I was looking at Global, and they say for every $500 I can trade one contract. I don't know much about futures, but that does not look like a good idea at all! I...

    IB Front - Ends?

This is my first post, so please be easy :) I currently use myTrack, I have been with them for a few years. I haven't made many trades recently, and I have been working steadily. I am interested in trading derivatives, specifically equity options and futures (E-minis). I am thinking...
