    Software for Manual Intraday Backtesting

Sorry but I don't remember the details but I would just take any of the files at "traders2traders" into Microsoft Excel. From that program it was relatively easy to manipulate the files, parse them etc. and then save it in a format that I could read with SierraChart.

    Software for Manual Intraday Backtesting

Does anyone know of a charting program that you can use to manually backtest with intraday data. I have years of intraday data for emini futures at 1 to 5 minute intervals. I can read the data one bar at a time with SierraChart. In order to practice trading I'll scroll through the data one bar...

    any guy tried SSF

I checked all of the SSF today and Microsoft seemed to have the most volume and tightest spread, from 1 to 10 cents. Hopefully the volume will pick up and the spread will be smaller soon. I'm just starting with a small account under 25K which is subject to daytrading rules. With the SSF I could...

Low risk way for real trade testing

Years ago I worked in a small specialized contracting business with my Uncle. Even though we had a great time, it was a tough business and if it was highly profitable I wouldn't be here posting this now. We had to compete against other contractors but often when we needed help, an answer to a...

Low risk way for real trade testing

Just wanted to share something that I've figured out for an easy way to start trading or test new strategies without risking a large amount of money. I opened a small account at Interactive Brokers with about $5000. I signed up for their real time market data feed which is free if you have more...
