You would sell the strike that is 1SD out from the underlying. If the underlying is at 100 and 1 SD is 5 then you would sell the 105 strike for example.

You will never get a credit of $2.50 on a spread that is $2.50. The natural is $1.45 and the mid is $2.50, you will get filled somewhere in between, probably much closer to the $1.45 side. Option quotes during non-market hours can be screwed up and misleading.

You can't beat Thinkorswim. They are by far the best options trading platform out there right now and they keep getting better. You can route orders where you want but why would you when they direct your order to the best price automatically?

Do the same thing with Social Security and I will opt out of both in a heartbeat.

I've kept an eye on his method (but didn't take notes like you did, great job!) and have come to the same conclusion. Might be better to fade than to follow the "breakout".

Mark, The talking heads have their gums flapping about a coming increase in volatility. With the double diagonals I do that could be good or bad, my timing would have to be good. Assuming we do start getting more volatility, how do you see it affecting the DD that you do? PS- good book...

You and me both. ES is killing me today. It went 1 tick to far and stopped me out, then I missed a 1pt gain :mad:.

Have you been trading the dead zone lately on your +/-1.5 ES strategy? I've been following it just for fun and the breakouts have been few and far between the last week, trading the zone was the way to make money with that strategy but how do you know beforehand? Need one of those fancy...

With RUT breaking the resistance level have you made any adjustments?
