    Predicting randomness

Didn't Gordon Gekko say random was good? I was too busy looking for Daryl Hannah's boobs - I'd already seen her ass on Splash. Man, I gotta maintain focus. Buy low, sell high.:D

    Book: The Misbehavior of Markets

It's a good book and probably should be on everyone's bookshelf. However, Benoit only states the obvious and brings nothing new to the table - albeit, no new solutions.

    Las Vegas trader expo

Arb, will you be buying $800K worth of beer? I mean we're all buddies, right?? LOL

    Writing options for a living

LOL, While their answers are not rigorous. They do provide insight. It's naive to think that expectation is idempotent. I suggest you pony up and visit amazon.com or get educated, which ever is cheaper. On a personal note, you should be thinking about yin'n and yanging Julie Chen...

    IB Suggestions & Improvements

I'd like to be able to insert formula's into a cell in TWS instead of using Excel - and be able to reference other tickers via ticker symbols only.

What is a good ratio between your trading income and commision?

Commissions are dirt cheap. I would be more concerned with the b/a spread. May be the MM's, dealers, and the likes will get the hint - someday.

Blotter Time (Put up or shut up)

Easy now, this could be a new profit opportunity. Hire a couple of dumb pilots - send them into the no-fly zone, short the farm, cover/reverse once the feds finishes its interrogation, and then let the money roll in.

Are the utilities a good short ?

Really just dumb luck. It's my utility. I really thought they were going to go bankrupt. But then Buffett drop 3/4 billion into convertibles at $13 something and I thought I would jump on as well. As far as $85 goes, I have been sitting on my hands since $25 - it had been a tough ride to...

Are the utilities a good short ?

I got out at $85 on 4/29. I thought it was too high the first time it hit $85 and was glad to be given a second chance - even more so now. I think it's still pricey at 80 bucks - but there's a lot of big money riding on this company.

Are the utilities a good short ?

I'm in TXU at $14 and I am really thinking about getting out and moving on.
