Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Equities Journal II

I am certainly interested, but its no problem for me to do it the way i do it now. I think for me the most time consuming part is manually looking for the dry up volumes, FRV and PV for each symbol thats in dry up. It would be a fantastic if it is possible to see them in some sort of table like...

With every "system" you trade you will have losers so thats just the cost of doing business . I just have to find my daily routine with this strategy What I meant about the pro rata volume is where did this statitistic come from that for example when 25% of du volume was reached before 10 am...

Spydertrader if I am correct you used pro rata volume of the dry up first. Where did you find the statistical volume distribution per half hour so you could count this pro rata dry up volume forwards? I hope you understand what I mean:) ! BTW I entered my first hershey trade in BTUI and...

Thanks Spyder that helped a lot! So if I understood you correctly you use this for stocks in dry up and not for the Bruno R set up? I am watching the video and the Bruno R set up is much easier to understand after watching the video. These videos are really great stuff!

Spydertrader is it possible that you give me the most recent final universe so I can make a start with the Hershey method. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your answer. The Bruno R set up is almost like I trade now. I trade mostly momentum stocks in a nice up or down trend that pullback or rally for a couple of days. The low stochastic value makes it easier to see the pullback or to scan a universe for possible pullbacks but normally...

Spydertrader, I am on my way finishing the second journal and I still like the methods a lot and the quality of this thread is excellent! I am struggling a bit with the Bruno R set up. I read the document of JH about this set up but because of English is not my native language I find it very...

I was an option market maker on Euronext Amsterdam when there was still a trading floor, I am not an market maker anymore because screen trading options was not my cup of tea so to speak but I was and am a follower of the markets both intraday and EOD so I still trade but its not my full time...

Thanks for the reply. I stop asking you questions until I read both journals. I am now on page 168 of the first journal and I see that you start to use the method as I described it. Really great content and I am looking forward to the rest of both journals. Its like reading a good book. You cant...

When picking the 7's in stocktables (10 from the top) why is there for these stocks no volume criteria. Is this not limiting the stocks that reach the final universe (because chances are high that a stock with for example 50000 and are at the top of the list will never have an average volume of...

Thanks for the answers Spydertrader. I am currently reading the first journal but its harder for me because english is not my language. I understand a whole lot of the process now. All criteria for stock selection and why they come in to the final universe are clear. The only thing I dont...

Spydertrader I just started following your juornal and I have a few questions that I hope you can answer. 1) Whats the best place to start learning about your method because I think you made some adjustments to the system you began with? Or do you still think its best to start at the...

IB - can you link charts??

Just use Quotetracker with IB as a broker and datafeed for Quotetracker. The best charts around and its free. If you dont want to be bothered with adds you will have to pay $60 a year or $7 a month. Give it a try.

just went long IBM.. anyone hate that trade?

I dont like the trade because its a counter trend trade and I am more of trend swing trader (selling rallies in a downtrend and buying pullbacks in an uptrend). But if this works for you than thats fine but be careful with trying to pick tops and bottoms.

is it a day trade, a swing trade or an investment for long term?

Does anyone else wish they had opt strikes of $2.50 for all stocks?

The bandwith you talk about is an exchange problem, not a problem for the traders hardware and software costs are not a problem at all. I was a market maker at Euronext Amsterdam and we even asked for more strikes because it increases trading volume and so it increased the profits for the...
