...and the best performing crypto of Saturday's crash is:

This is nothing compared to tulips. 385 years after that bubble, tulip planting is still an important sector of Dutch economy employing thousands of people. Dutch flower exports are in billions of Euros per year while Dogecoin and other crap cryptos will be pumped, dumped and forgotten because...

    Coffee and Trading....

imo caffeine intake increases the likelihood of overtrading and risk taking. Not sure if there is any research on this but would be interesting. Body and mind are stimulated to move and act while most of the time one should just sit on his hands an wait. Brokers should offer commission...

Bloomberg Foresees Bitcoin Rallying to $400K This Year

This reminds me of McAfee's overdue dickening. "What is the 2020 Dickening? If the price of Bitcoin has not reached One Million Dollars by December 31st, 2020, John McAfee has promised to eat his own dick on National Television."

Credit Spread actual fill does not match Limit order

Your sell order actually filled at -$0.10, not at -$0.20. -$0.20 is what you would pay if you submitted it as two separate legs, one at bid and the other at ask price. Combos give you better price then separate single legs.

Is there a technical term for either of these two trades??

Why not sell weeklies? There is more premium per day.

Does anyone trade Supply/Demand Zones (RBR/DBD/RBD/DBR)?

Hi Jenny, 1. it is already close to supply zone with only a few pips to profit if I use supply zone as target You do not have to enter the market on the spot, you may use pending order and wait for the price come to you at a level which satisfies your target to stop ratio. 2. it had been...

    A Word About "Arbitrage"...

Regarding the Bitcoin arbitrage example I agree only under the assumption that both exchanges have the same counter party risk. Some exchanges are more safe then others. In fact Bitcoin price should be lower on exchanges people consider riskier because you suddenly may become unable to withdraw...

    150K TST Combine

For trend following I use MA slope as direction indicator and only enter with that direction. This may sound obvious but one can be misled by higher frequency variations and mistake them for the (new) trend and having a rule for choosing the direction of the entries saves you time and...

Can someone evaluate my currency "strategy"?

Are you basically planning to buy currencies with the highest real inflation rates? Here is the data, downloadable to excel, but the latest year is 2019. https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/FR.INR.RINR?end=2019&most_recent_value_desc=true&start=2019&view=map I wonder where can you get those...

    Question on hedging with options.

I do not hedge break outs with puts, I use stop orders. But if I did, I would use a Put with a delta equal to the probability of breakout failure. Since in general most breakouts in stocks fail, I would go for ITM like smallfil suggested.

    Fully Automated Stocks Trading

Hi Val, I see you are running like 5 strategies simultaneously but they are of course not profitable all at the same time. Some are better suited to current market then others and later on it will change and others will outperform the first. Would it be profitable to take the significantly loss...

    Getting Funding for Trading?

Much great advice in this thread. Assuming there is an edge in your stock trading it makes most sense to keep growing your account and be patient. Most of small businesses have been built slowly over years by reinvesting profits. Leverage is double edged sword. Your decision making might get...

    Stop Losses 101

You want to follow the trend but not get stopped out by the noise. It is common to use average true range or standard deviation of returns which are measures of market volatility to setup the initial stop. Each asset has its own intrinsic level of volatility and it also changes with time so you...

An Attempt to Learn How to Trade Consistently and Profitably
