    IB Mosaic/ Getting Out?

If it happens again, you could also load an older settings file from the previous day (file, load setting)

Looking for advice on what broker/data provider to choose

You are probably correct and for most people this is ok (It is for me). However, this question at the start was very specific on fast data. Then grouped data vs tick can give different results in certain systems (voluem sizes per submitted data chenges). My answer was just so that the requester...

Looking for advice on what broker/data provider to choose

This is correct. With Esignal, you can use the esignal data in IB instead of the IB data (change in settings), but you can also us esignal and transmit your orders from Esignal to IB. Not sure what is best/fastest.

    IB Exposure Fee

Hi Risknav, To your question, there is no minimum level for teh exposure fee. It will be charged based on the amount thet the calculated risk for the exposure fee exceeds your equity value (cash value). Exposures for different categories are agregated as far as I know for risk in teh 'same...

    IB Exposure Fee

J.P. is actually fully correct. (and you are too but you refer to a different posiyion). The issue is that the fee only appears when people sell or short items. Even if they stay well within the IB margin requirements the fee is requested. This is why several people suggest to increase the...

    IB Exposure Fee

Non of these really. What IB does is that when you are short on ES for instance, you get the following example: ES is at 1960 You have cash of 75000 on your account When you sell a 5 puts ES (any month) at 1860 (multiplier 50) at USD 5 (receiving USD 1250 - commissions) The margin...

    IB Exposure Fee

Yes you have understood it correctly. They charge you for as if you have a 30% margin (which is ridiculous for index based products). They have had some pre announcement email, but probably only to people that had such position in the week before it started. All others did apparently not get...

    IB Exposure Fee

I wonder if you believe it yourself. At the same time, IB says that trading is slow and commissions are low.... If it really was to reduce exposure, why not increase margins. And IB has already the 'auto position closing' that would reduce risk as well. This is just to gain more money or try...

    IB Exposure Fee

It would be interesting to see if you will be charged 7/5 (or 7/4) as exchanges were closed and it is unclear how this is handled...... The when ever, what ever fee...... terrible.

    IB Exposure Fee

I now got chared for 7/3 and 7/5. Did anyone trade on 7/5????? It's a saturday in my view. This implementation of the fee is totally messy and unacceptable .

    IB Exposure Fee

The charge seems to have halted (?). However, there is a total radio silence about this... and any future status. For now, I hold my orders until there is any clarity.
