    Ivan's Trade Thread, part II

Reply to my own posts? Hehe, it is just so frantic trying to type and doing scalping - it is very scary at such fast moving markets. LOL - talk about good timing for those scalps! Both my longs are roughly -30k now. I hit it again .. but only one for €1mn now... 132.40 target 134.40...

Stopped it at 133.45 ... and that was a +80pips ... 3 scalps for total of 180pips Timing was ok... :) EURJPY more erratic on its way down again ... will just chill for the rest of the session .. my longs are red, but healthy :) Both at roughly €-18k now... But I just made €27k...

Very skittish now - did several hits... Secured 2 trades for 2x50pips... Will let last one ride... secured a +20pip for it with a stop at 132.85 That will give me at least 120pips from this. :) ... and at that moment it jumped up another 50 into +100pips for that trade, but secured at +60...

Interesting level on EURJPY right now ... for scalping. :) Maybe easy 135 later on towards the end - or it will be an even sharper downturn... not really decided yet. I assume a lot of repatriation is going on as well...

Bush Plans Statement Tomorrow to `Assure' Nation on Economy, Perino Says

According to Bush: Anyone talking down stocks, then buying cheap and making a profit - WILL be prosecuted. Also - it is a "world problem," don't mind the US national debt... The future is bright and the US can WORK their way out of it in no time. Nothing has really changed... the US...

cabletrader, hehe - can they trust the "Oanda market," though? :)

Crisis problem focus: US national debt - trigger was credit bubble

What we are seeing is how the US government is "doubling up" to support the USD, and get some relief elsewhere from the financial turmoil - they are still in complete denial - and they seem to be absolutely refusing to "man up" and take responsibility for the skyrocketing debt. It is a gamble...

For anyone doing currency trades - remember that there will be a G7 meeting in the weekend, and then the Japanese markets get a head start... Use very large timeframes for positions. Hehehe :)

Crisis problem focus: US national debt - trigger was credit bubble

Lots of European countries have been in the doldrums before with national debts, but gotten out of it... The same goes for Asian countries and emerging markets. However - the shear size of the US national debt is not an easy task... It is essentially the same issue for the US as any...

Crisis problem focus: US national debt - trigger was credit bubble

Everyone seem to be avoiding the real problem here now... The financial systems are being changed and re-wiring themselves;and the way that US consumption has been running is not going to be the daily reality in the future. The credit crunch has been emerging for some time, but the real...

Greenspan sees housing recovery in 2009

Did Greenspan mention the US national debt in the same breath, or does he wants us to forget about it?

FX system for a few trades

Don't you think that Asian currencies like the JPY has strengthened a lot? I know the Korean Won has been supported now, but otherwise it would seem that the strength of the USD is a very dangerous risk... if the puss boil explodes.

Now I hope finally 135 on EURJPY will be settled in... and a floor for next weeks volatility - but preferably Japan will be reacting. I can't but think they are getting under increased pressure. Europe has a mix of growth prospects - the new members and former Eastern bloc nations have good...

US could be due financial and economic Armageddon

The X strongly correlates to how the US will be able to handle their debts. This will not be counted in years - but in decades! This is much worse than any world war and ensuing ruins... in economic terms it is monstrous - and a mixed economy nightmare.

    What was that about?

LodeReunner, it is obvious that you know next to nothing about data mining, forensic computer science or surveillance. The point is building up an information database, and connect dots - anticipate threat pictures, build profiles and assess people. Your really don't want to be a large dot...

    Ivan's Trade Thread, part II

The USD run-up has been systemic... repatriations, stability ensuring etc... The US election will not provide anything significant for the USD. No new US president except someone like Ron Paul would mean something for the USD beyond some short term hiccup. US financial problems go way beyond...

Central Planning the New United States Economic System.

It will be interesting to see if Bush in his speech today can give some information on a time horizon for some of the rescue measures they have in place. Paulson said it would take several weeks... but G7 and G8 plans will be interesting. I truly hope they don't centralize more regulations or...

Nice timing start on the EURJPY trade, but I wish I had done it yesterday from sub 134 - not that it matters when shooting for +1000pips... and that is the nice thing - when you increase timeframes - a little timing is not that important - it brings calm into the trades and scales up what news...
