Since I don't use IB I'm not very helpful but am curious..over Fri-Mon I assume your aggregate PL looked different...did having the back spreads help? Did you adjust again? I look at my aggregate delta's to decide if I need to buy a put or call. I prefer a slight negative...so prior to Fri-Mon...

Yes...if you are a retail trader...seriously,,, DON'T...trade SPX....trade the ES options, you can do Karen style on a micro scale ..greater flexability with 24 hr trading.

IF the underlyings are VERY liquid eg AAPL...GOOG,,SPY...IWM etc then you will have no problem..IF they are NOT then you will only get partial fills so they might destroy your "edge"

When I started trading the ES I kept separate records of my pnl from daytrading the cash ES and swing trading the options. sometimes I made more from daytrading and other times it seemed swing trading saved the day I do think there is a lifestyle issue but there is no reason you can't do both...

comparing apples/oranges...they are totally different types of traders/

NO it is not...it is frustrating ......and when you NEED to close it will cost you dearly.
