    MarketWatch Option Trader

You could probably learn a lot if you set up all his trades on sim and followed them for awhile. His book was an excellent instructional book for someone without a strong academic foundation in BS and options. I have issues with most traders who post their options strats...usually its...

Option execution / assignment - disaster scenario

In the above you are gold since you sold the put you would be LONG not short the shares. If you meant to say you were short the call and were assigned shares that you didn't have covered then its up to your broker. Most issue a margin call and give you time to close and/or sell the stock...

    Bachelor Thesis about option strategies

no..a call or put is a straight directional bet so all option strats do is set parameters around your bet. options strats also use volatility as a guide. Strategies just help define your risk. Do I want a high probability -high risk or low probability-low risk trade? Options are a way to...

    Bachelor Thesis about option strategies

hi Mike...just an idea but on "tastytrade" each day they do a segment called best practices in which trading strategies are back tested. They generally only use stocks with higher volatility and volume and/or etfs. They archive their shows so you can go back and check out quite a number of...
