Since the government is artificially depressing the employee supply by pumping free money to people, no, it is not a "truly libertarian situation".

    Heating your home for free

Back when I was running an Antminer in the garage (just for the hell of it) I was thinking of rigging a cooling system using swimming pool water... But was too much work.

    Anyone mining Ethereum from home?

https://futuredly.com/how-many-watts-nvidia-rtx-3060-rtx-3060-ti/ The RTX 3060 at its peak consumes around ~170 Watts. The RTX 3060 Ti at its peak consumes around ~200 Watts. Those are the numbers I was using.

$0.23/day for NVidia 3060 assumes $0.06/kW cost of energy. I am not sure where you live to get that low a rate.

Yes. MT can real-time scan (using as complex a custom logic/combination of indicators as you want) but only the incoming data. Which means the max of 1500 symbols if you are using TDA as the data feed. We have users doing that. A reasonable home computer can easily handle it. In order to do...

    Anyone mining Ethereum from home?

There is a bit of terminology confusion in the thread. Anyway - an ETH-mining GPU (I will take my current GPU as an example, tho I don't mine) consumes 250 W/h. That's 6 kW a day. At the rate of $0.3/kW that's $1.8. Looking at the mining rate for this GPU and the current ETH price, it can...

The problem with IB is that 100 streaming tickers limit. Very low. TDA on the other hand allows 1500, which is a lot more convenient for scanning purposes. In orders to implement the scanning of whole ticker universe, we would have to have the data on all of them. Since we (MT) do not provide...

2.8kWh (as in kilo-watt per hour) is an hourly figure. So it is 0.3*2.8*24=$20.

It is true that the entire stock universe is a lot more than 1000 symbols. But I suspect that stocks that are worth trading can be narrowed down to 1500-2000 symbols. And that can be processed on the client side, with fully customizable criteria/logic.

If you run it alone (no one other than big miner factories do that) then if/when you hit one, you get (currently) 6.25 BTC. If you don't (and when you are running one miner it is very unlikely you will) you get nothing. Most people with less than let's say 2000 miners join a pool. In a pool...

Is there software that scans custom stock lists for certain chart patterns?

    1. How many symbols? 2. Do you want a scan on daily OHLC candles or intraday 1- or 5-min candles? 3. Would the scan be real time during market hours or something at EOD?

Stock screener for previous day high-low crossings

That PDF I gave above is a start. I could ask some people what it is costing them I guess. I think it is quite a bit - enough that the cost of starting something like that would be prohibitive, since you'd be carrying a lot of fixed costs and you'd have to have a lot of users to cover them. And...
