Fri rpts prelim. Q2 GDP. - consensus: 2.5 %; range: 1.0 % - 3.4 % I suspect this is a little optimistic given the recent market action, but I don't massage the data.

I'm thinking if we break 1105 ...then 1090 if we break 1117-18 ...then 1130 otherwise we range trade again today any thoughts?

I've gotta share this chart. I can't take credit for it, but perhaps Lawrence or Pekelo who work with Bollinger's would comment.

It looks like algos trading against each other - to few sheeple to justify a shakeout or squeeze. How do you think the algos will manage positions when the range breaks? ... like Thursday?

If you don't believe in Goldman, it's curious, but true, the Goldman you disparage will pull the rug from under you.

Quote from volente_00: Ok my recall of your posts was incomplete, thanks for the refresher. But many of those patterns (not all) are typically used in breakout strategies rather than counter trend. So, if CT strategies are typically more effective for ES, would you say that you'd be more...

Profound implications I think - especially for entries. But, I don't recall you talking much about S/R or other key entry point indicators/tactics, except for 5-6 pt pullbacks after an r10. Would you care to enlighten us on how you identify key potential entries. Much respect BTW.

Ben, who calls the pit, was explaining how floor traders were signaling assistants, off the floor, to make etrades in ES mini, perhaps offsetting floor trades or supplementing, but masking their true positions at any rate, and who know and about the dark pools. (1 spy = 5 ES) I have no idea what...

Thanks ed FWIW I think I agree ... how it finds a turning point/area may be interesting ... I see some optimism, but no exuberance so little chance of a blowoff top ... I see signs of manipulation/strong hand influence and lower than expected volume .... signs of bear...

These are challenging and certainly uncertain times. I know where Prechter stands. You regulars have been particularly quiet and I don't like it. Just how should I interpret this lack of opinion? Long Gold and cash - is that it? Are you on the same side as Prechter or not?

the morning pop brought in additional supply - another sign of distribution. but I think more dist. / position reversal may be necessary before significant correction can be expected. If half of trades are between bots distribution and position reversal takes some time and a few bear traps...

I don't know the level of sophistication built into the algorithmic trading pgms in use, but if you compare it to that of chess programming and complement that with the distinctive capabilities of 1000+ traders and virtually unlimited trading capital on your own side. It is a significant...

I'm probably out of place, but I used to see posts of substance here - not just pie in the sky and wishful thinking and ego stroking. I don't contribute to the banter, I try to humbly keep my opinions to myself - if it's of little value, no one else needs it either. Some posters here...
