Stop gloating over declining home prices - it hurts

I think real estate has been a hedge against high inflation and a weak dollar. It won't collapse, but its gains to the upside are going to be tougher. Pabst brings up a good point about fiat currencies. The government will try to print its way out of any problem. Thats why there are...

So much new money (hf's) have entered markets that they never thought they would ever touch is creating crazy price swings. The grain markets are tiny.

A sense the housing market has bottomed.

I think your reasons are why the stock market is having such a huge problem gauging the impact on the economy. There is simply not enough good information. However, if history is any guide a real estate bust could have large ramifications on the banking system. Unlike a 5 years, the crisis...

    Anyone watch CNBC asia?

Last night I was watching clips from a fed meeting in India. It looks exactly like the US in 2000. Lots of camera's, cheering, and a guarantee that growth would continue. Ominous perhaps?

    ZERO reaction to fed minutes?

The is the greatest global inflation in the history of the world. All the things that happened in 2000 have gone global. It will keep going until the dollar and US interest rates come under pressure.

Democrats may trip up Bernanke on the road to his inflation target

The definition of inflation is the biggest joke on earth. We have just gone through two of the greatest inflations of all time in less than 6 years. If housing goes through the roof its not considered inflation because you can use your house like an atm. If oil is up its bad. Hilarious.

If we go to War with Iran will that be bad for the US Stock Market?

Agree 100 percent. Iran knows we dont have a lot of power unless we get a very broad coalition. Marc Faber has it right. High commodity prices bread instability. Right now the markets are booming, but the US is certainly losing clout and prestige around the world.

If we go to War with Iran will that be bad for the US Stock Market?

There is zero chance of the US bombing Iran. Thats why Ahmadinejad is running around acting like he can take on anyone. High oil prices bring out all the crazies
