I see what your saying but I don't see how this example relates to what the OP is pointing out. He is saying to use stops but that your targets don't have to be twice as big to be profitable. He is also talking about a finite period trade.

yes both ways could work and are appropriate as long as the win% is in line with your R/R. Some are better at swinging for homeruns but strike out more. Others go for singles and occasionally strike out. I too prefer the singles strategy of the daily grind.

better to use on the 6e is the daily expiring option numbers. i.e. 500 million expiring thursday at 1.3050. The S/R numbers you are referring to that I have seen are basic levels you see on a chart. Nothing special and as OTC said, whenever I see these levels published they often get runover...

heres an idea.....dont trade when near the highs or lows of the day.....wait for a reversion to the mean, poc, value area, ma, something else to intiate a trade. Leave the bottom picking to the big boys

if your blowing up without ever averaging into the position, then your initial position is way to large already.......or you are referring to longer term blowups where you really suck bad at trading and never win over and over until you reach 0
