I've looked over the tradestation futures IRA fees and from what I can tell there is a $50 opening fee, a $150 initial fee, and then a $150 annual fee. Are there more fees I'm not seeing? The fee schedule isn't all that clear, at least not to me :( The reason I want to open a futures IRA...

Get a copy of TASC and look at the code posted in the languages of 20+ different automated trading apps. Then evaluate them.

Let's hear why he couldn't trade immediately. Maybe he hadn't set up market permissions? I'm sure IB is making all their profits on the 2 days of interest on his $4000. He should ask for a credit of the 3 cents.

Sounds like there are two issues: 1. IB wouldn't let you trade immediately. 2. IB wouldn't return your funds until the holding period is over. #2 is clearly stated, complaining isn't going to make it better and makes you look stupid. If you don't agree to the holding period, don't send...

This whole thing is just stupid. There are withdrawl rules and restrictions on trading with newly deposited funds. If those rules are not followed please let us know ASAP. If they are followed (or you don't know the rules) go back to the Yahoo forums.

So how did you deposit the funds? Inquiring minds want to know....

Consider this a lesson in reading the details before you send someone money. How did you deposit the funds? Even a wire transfer can be reversed so why should IB let you trade with funds that could be called back?
