Can I trade pit-traded commodities with Interactive Brokers?

Yes, am aware, however, liquidity is poor in some of the electronic traded ones... so I am looking for the answer if I can trade pit-traded on IB as well or if I need another broker.

Can I trade pit-traded commodities with Interactive Brokers?

Probably a silly question, but can I trade only ELECTRONIC futures with IB or also pit-traded ones, such as Corn? Can't seem to clarify this question from their "products" info area.... Thanks.

What software can do what Buttontrader does, but for Pit-traded commodities?

Thanks, but this is a broker, right... was just looking for a front-end?

What software can do what Buttontrader does, but for Pit-traded commodities?

I am a user of Buttontrader (an IB Front-End), and got addicted to it- just very simple and inttuitive. The ability to change strategies and split positions into separately managed portions on the fly are great, and it is all visual and simple. Does anybody know of another software/ front...

    Simple Profitable Method

When it creates a big bar through your entry, such as 15:52 EST, what do you do? You wait for it to come down through the 3 SMA and then trade it long again (if it breaks through the 3 SMA)?

You're right, of course... trading this the first day, getting used to the beast... still snaps at my hand :)

There is more to this than meets my myopic eye... the little short shook me out (10 Mins no profit) and then became lovely.

t 28, in a case like this last long at 13:56 or 13:58 EST: does one anticipate the cross of the MACD lines? As far as I understood, you only jump in early on Zero Line crosses. Is that correct? So, would you have waited for MACD to cross it's MA clean or did you also use the Triangular...

Trader 28: If you could indulge me once more, going back to basics/ have a bit of confusion not about your original settings, but about MA's: 1. You use the 3SMA+ 2 only for 2 purposes: when you have gotten out because you hit your target, to reenter. You reenter when price pops above the...

Wanted to say "interesting", but clicked the wrong button... so- put up a histo and see it's value as the entry occurs, perhaps set a threshold to filter 50% line trades?

Why is the entry at 13:06 the "optimal time"? What about 10:02, 10:12 or 10:32? How would you have known in real time that they were less optimal? In all 4 cases, the 10 Min MACD was positive as well....and what about the crosses around and after 13:52? Or are you now counting only the 50%...

True. My intent was just to clearly figure out what Jack was talking about (with another objective, not to improve SPM), so my questions to him have not too much to do with this SPM. Sorry for that.

Thanks for responding Jack. You wrote: 1. I thought that previously you had stated to Snarly that EVERY entry was profitable: For exits you use the same signals as for entry, right? The cross of the Stoch, that's it? I show 4 losses on my spreadsheet, perhaps due to less than ideal...

PointOne: Agree with your spreadsheet of the trades.... seems on quick eyeball to be similar to mine. Maybe I am dense, but I still don't get it: a 5 minute bar starts. The Stoch flips around it's "hinge" and crosses UP, let's say after 2 minutes. You try to enter that same bar (not the next...
