Does T3 ever provide capital, or just better leverage? I don't use more than 5x anyway.

So the buying power is supplemented, but never the equity balance, correct? It will be what I came in with, and whatever I earned.

How much did you lose on the journey to becoming profitable?

I see these comparisons all the time between day traders and big hedge funds. "If hedge funds with geniuses only make 13%, how are you going to beat that?" People think that because Buffet only makes 20%, it's ludicrous to even imagine making more than that. It's a false comparison. Buffet is...

    Feeling of regret in trading

It's not easy to deal with. I tell myself that if I follow my rules through the course of the month, I will be successful. I don't need those big candles, or runs that happened on a different stock.

heart palpitations on waking up at 3am in the morning rooted in fear

You could possibly try intraday trading? I find it very nice to focus on my trades, and then be done for the day(and night). But obviously it's a whole different strategy, with new techniques to oearn.

How do people fail at this?

If you are making money in sim, then your approach is on target at least. Even making in sim is not straight forward. I would say just jump into live small size, and see if it changes anything for you. You may run into some new obstacles, but either way you can make it.

How much did you lose on the journey to becoming profitable?

People want to call any endeavor that does not make money every single moment predictably, gambling. Who cares. Trading is seeing the hidden opportunity in the long term, where it looks like random chance in the short term. In the short term, it looks like gambling. When friends hear about...

    Trading is Boring.... Good

One of the greatest positive impacts of trading to me is it frees up time. Instead of being stuck in a cubicle from 9-5 and coming home exhausted, you are in charge of your own life. I trade from 9:30-11am. Thanks to trading I have the rest of the day to impact others, personal developement...

Being both long and short at same time

Not getting in the market has the same effect as being long and short, minus the commissions. There has to be a point at which he would cut one and keep the other, so why not just make that the first entry point?

How much did you lose on the journey to becoming profitable?

I personally risk 2.25% per trade. Why wouldn't I? I know what my worst losing streak can be, and I know that at 2.25% per trade, I'm ok with it. And now I can make twice the money. If you know you are consistently profitable, and comfortable with the drawdowns, why not scale it up. But then...

How much did you lose on the journey to becoming profitable?

I think this shows the idiocy of the PDT rule. People should be forced to trade with LESS, not more. 25k limit just makes the losses bigger. And if you go offshore, than the commissions are too heavy to best. Unless ofcourse you over leverage on low price stocks, and risk everything.

Me? 20k. I tried strategies that didn't work at full leverage.

Looking for a prop firm for U.S. equities

Now I understand why there are prop firms with such different profit splits, and commission rates.

Why does T3 take 5% of profit, and SMB takes 60%?

What kind of commissions are you paying per share? .006? And why would someone give SMB 50% profit split when T3 only takes 5%? This makes no sense to me.

Why does T3 take 5% of profit, and SMB takes 60%?

It sucks man. And it can skew your mental, seeing longs where they don't exist, because that's the only option.
