I apologize in advance for my stupid question, but I recall in Natenberg's book stating that vega was supposed to be the sensitivity to the underlying . I'm confused, is it the underlying or the IV?

I was toying again with TOS analyze page,
and since I'm into butterflies at the moment (paper trading them) I thought of using an opposing butterfly trade in the next month to hedge my risk against a violent move
ex:
XYZ @ 50
Long XYZ Nov put 45/50/55 butterfly
Short XYZ Dec put...
i'm still a newbie...

Would any of you know of any powerpooint deck anywhere that I can use? I'm hosting a team meetng and I can chose a topic... I was thnking of teaching collars, but I'm not sure if it would help or hurt my coworkers. I can put together a deck, but I figure someone has to have one out there...
i tried to explain to someone how they can cover themselves from disaster using collars.

hello,
Would anyone be able to recommend any volatility forecasting books? Preferably for Options trading?
Or if anyone knows of any other resource I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,

So far tos is still running as if it were independent of Td; we'll see if that changes though.
I'm keepng my fingers crossed that they learn how to be an options broker from tos and not change it to suit their ignorance.
I was just wondering
Do any of you trade these?
Where do you get in? Directionally (so just OTM and play direction)
Or do you buy Near or ATM and let them decay?
