What if your platform sends hidden info about your next possible trade?...

It was not me who said "frontrunning", it was you. This is different from frontrunning. For example the moment I want to close my position I go to the order mask and then suddenly the market price begins to go against me... always! Now, let's think how this can happen, and why does it...

Journal of trader um (aka traderum)

Ok, I will not open any new position before finishing the mentioned neccessary manual work that shows how the previous trades finally ended. To be continued...

Journal of trader um (aka traderum)

Here the 2nd snapshot that shows the latest executions done with the old account in its Trades pane (options of IBM etc). This account is a new one (as said every day one gets a new fresh account and don't have access anymore to the old account... so one must do some manual calculations..).

Journal of trader um (aka traderum)

Ooops. I was so tired so I wanted rest a few minutes... Guess what: I slept and missed the auto-logout period... and guess what... I couldn't make snapshots. But the system records in its log the activities. So I must again do some manual work. BTW, as it looks like also the other open...

Journal of trader um (aka traderum)

Yesterday's positions are still not finished yet. But I have very good news: today was my best day ever: today so far made 345.5k (!). That's 69.1% profit within a day, and the 24h day is even not finished yet. And: some positions are still open, and in the greens... so in the end even...

What if your platform sends hidden info about your next possible trade?...

No, no, if the qty is negative (ie. short selling) then of course exactly the opposite happens... And, also It you want to close your position and prepare the mask for it then... exactly in the same moment the price moves against you, because the MM (or the intermediary Broker) moves the price...

A mystery to me how IB calculates commission for options

So, then this means the trader has virtually no control over the commission he has to pay, because the broker decides which route to take (and of course each route costs different... so the broker chooses the route which makes him the most profit -- or have I maybe overlooked something? :-)

A mystery to me how IB calculates commission for options

It's all cheato... They advertise for cheap rates if routed via their so called SMART route, but if you make use of it then your order does not get filled, or get filled only if it is to your disadvantage (ie. filled only if the market price goes against you,...) CHEATO! I SAY! CHEATO...

A mystery to me how IB calculates commission for options

According to the web site of IB, commission for options is about 15 cents per contract (ie. per 100 options). Now the mystery for me begins here: I bought 20 contracts (in just 1 order) and IB charges $10. How come?

Q: Why are there so many babbling women on TV ? A: Because women can talk like a waterfall... :-) Especially on mondays, must be a weekend lag or so... rotf! :-)

Those who still use T/A don't get it! :-)

I know how to protect myself from their dirty tricks. I'm better than those MMs as I have many times beaten them, even overtaken them their instrument from their hand :-)

What if your platform sends hidden info about your next possible trade?...

Hey, everbody can test, see, and confirm it him/herself, just do your own testing. Some have already confirmed it here and also via PM. These are unfair, even criminal, practices by the broker(s). But if even the watchdog authorities are their own people then you can think what happens...

Those who still use T/A don't get it! :-)

Folks, forget T/A since prices are made by the Market Maker (MM) arbitrarily to fit his own case. Remember that guy is there to provide, in theory, liquidity. As a reward for this "service to the mankind" he is allowed to make profits of his own. Some MMs have taken this literally and it...

    TWS API updateAccountValue()

I once knew this but unfortunately can't remember what it was: What do the "-C" and "-S" versions below mean? (they are delivered by the TWS API in the event method updateAccountValue(..) Key=EquityWithLoanValue Val=16899.78 Key=EquityWithLoanValue-C Val=0.00 Key=EquityWithLoanValue-S...

Journal of trader um (aka traderum)

Again I must leave 5 positions open (stocks and options of IBM and QQQQ) and follow it the next day. I've also sent my closing GTC target orders for them and made screenshots of everything. So far +15.6k (+3.12%) profit today, though it was at some time more than 30k. But I'm sure the above...

Is it possible with IB API ?

Yes, but I made the experience that it sometimes stops functioning, ie. the historic data server doesn't deliver any data more. But you can create your own bar data from the tick data as tick data is more reliable regarding delivery by IB. A more robust method is to get RT tick or bar data...

Journal of trader um (aka traderum)

Ok, I get a result of 603840.06 minus some commission (~ $500 or so) as the final account value. That is: the profit of yesterday's action is then about $103340 (20.67%), ie. the above value minus the initial acct value (500k). (If someone gets a different result so let me know pls)...
