SEVERAL YEARS!! have you even seen the es contracts from 2 years ago nevermind several years ago! Not worth going back more than two years with es.

If you have a system that makes money why not just enter and exit on the signals and increase contract size as you build your account? I don't see how adding more contracts AFTER the initial optimum entry point could improve your results!! Keep your system simple that is what I say! adding...

My mechanical system gave me a buy a while before the problem, i am long at 902. The market is open at 916.50 what should i do as i have never expirienced anything like this. do i sell now with a profit or wait??

What i meant is my mechanical system has performed well the whole of the current contract and the previous but as there was less liquidity, smaller trading range and less volatility the further you go back on the es the performance became worse. But the volatility and volume is increasing...

what, the system?

I ordered 3 years of e-mini tick data to backtest a 5 min intraday system. The further back i go the worse the e-mini's seem to be for trading is that because they have only recently been one of the main futures contracts for traders? any ideas?:confused:
