    Open Source Black Box Trade Platform in C#?

    I'd definately like to help out with this project as you get it off the ground. As for db40, so long as you release your code under the GPL you don't have to pay for a commercial license. Also, have you checked into using sourceforge.net for hosting your project?

    $ Silver $

    As of 2005 there was ~240 tonnes of gold consumed annually via electroplating in electronics or for decorative use. I doubt that even 10% of it is ever recovered. http://www.ereport.ru/en/articles/commod/gold.htm

    Warnings Of Secret Plans To Create International Central Bank

    If what he says is true, why is he still alive? Please don't say that his assassination would attract attention. If this NWO cabal really existed there are a number of sophisticated methods of killing someone that didn't exist in 1963.

    What's the best UNIX / Linux for laptop?

    Alot of Microsoft pundits were writing VMWare's obit when MS first released VirtualPC. That product is essentially dead today. How many other companies can you name that have survived an encounter with Microsoft, much less without government intervention? Going 64bit is great if...

    What's the best UNIX / Linux for laptop?

    Popular thinking is that Murphy was an optimist, which can only mean one thing -- he never used a Microsoft product! :) Seriously, at least install SP3. That way you'll get the refactored performance improvements that went into SP2.

    What's the best UNIX / Linux for laptop?

    I'd recommend against that, you should stay current due of the security flaws that continue to get exposed and exploited. I'm running SP3 and have auto-update turned off. The OS will notify you when new updates are available, but it will not override your auto-update setting.

    What's the best UNIX / Linux for laptop?

    There's a lot of discussion and some basic comparisons, but what's really needed is an exhaustive comparison of performance benchmarks. Here's a couple that I've read. They should help to round things out a bit, especially the user comments...

    What's the best UNIX / Linux for laptop?

    I wouldn't sell VMWare short. Their VMWare server was previously the commercial GSX server that they decided to release for free after Microsoft entered the virtualization market with Virtual PC. They later made it dual CPU capable as it and the open source competition made incremental...

    What's the best UNIX / Linux for laptop?

    Again, apologies. Your earlier comment regarding Fusion led me to think otherwise. Good point, which is equally applicable to VirtualBox. The lack of a comprehensive performance comparison between VB and VMWare says a lot that's not good for VB's prospects in the enterprise. If...

    What's the best UNIX / Linux for laptop?

    Hmm, not sure you're entirely clear on what VMWare is. Fusion is VMWare's desktop for the Mac. That said, apologies in advance if you already understand that to use it, in the case to run TradeStation, you're going to need a non-OEM copy of XP so you can create an XP desktop to install and...

    Hyperinflation

    That sort of behavior only makes sense in a hyperinflation scenario where the dollar is losing value by the minute. That's not going to happen. This is less likely than hyperinflation occurring.

    Hyperinflation

    IMHO, short and leveraged short ETFs are an asset class. They absolutely crushed everything this year, without exception.

    Hyperinflation

    A panic spike is just the parabolic part of the rise, you can get burned buying anything at that point. The "elevator down" is part of the phrase that's specific to gold; it takes the esclator up and the elevator down. An overnight devaluation, like what FDR did after all gold was...

    Hyperinflation

    The Fed would only need to increase their purchases by 50% if all foreigners stopped buying treasuries.

    Hyperinflation

    Gold has a nasty habit of taking the express elevator down. Still, it's a great hedge for an overnight devaluation of your currency...

    'Tent Cities' Rising Across United States

    Flippin' burgers and frying doughnuts is fine if you're single, living at home and looking for some spending money. But, it's not even close to a living wage for a guy with a family of four who lived within his means, didn't pile up any non-essential debt and now finds himself out of work...

    $ Silver $

    Depends on what your definition of "messed up" is and your idea of the likelihood of it happening. If you think a complete collapse is possible then physical ownership of wholesale sized bars is not the smart play, coin and bars at 1 oz. or smaller sizes would be.
