how to protect trading strategies for a colocated server

Alright. You cracked the code, sweet. Now your only problem is you spent all that time to acquire something with a short expiration date. Hopefully you know other guru's as well.

how to protect trading strategies for a colocated server

I have a hard time believing that. And I can almost guarantee you, even if true, the time will come very soon where it has lost all edge. What/Who fits the definition of a guru?

Suggestions needed about amount of data needed.

You don't need all that back data. What works now essentially works now. Why care about 2003? But the only thing is are you sure somehow you are not getting preferential fills etc? Was that drawdown max loss? Was it max peak to valley? What is your MAE over this whole time?

Has anyone else noticed this March - July 2010 daily chart pattern?

Weak Earnings? Not really man. What are the statistics on how many have beat in the USA? Why am I a joke? You are one of those people that thinks they are always right and blah blah, when I was a kid shit. The US Equity markets more than make up for any dollar devaluation we have ever...

Good luck man I have found the edge in FX leaves you quicker than you think in most cases. 90% of anyone I am guessing who has ever traded FX knows exactly the pain you felt today. It is a lesson. Shame on you if it fools you two times.

When are you optimizing too much?

OK. I guess this is basically the same thing. But I'll bite. Still what is the difference when you win a greater percentage of the time to make up for the factor that you lose by?

When are you optimizing too much?

I am not wrong. Unless my calculation method is wrong, but I didn't say 3/4 of the time I said OVER 3/4 of the time.

When are you optimizing too much?

Profit Factor = Avg Win / Avg Loss does it not? How much experience do you have with systems that trade in multiples of 1000 times per year?

***alpari Broker.is This A Bs Response?***

OK, I see. Yeah, this is a good lesson to never play around with FX when NFP / Fin Min Khan farts because you are going to get fucked x1000 more than you would otherwise. I've lost plenty of money in FX to prove that haha. So in the end, I would really only trade the futures contracts...

Is it an ECN? Yeah, are you just worried about the spread? It could easily be possible because there is absolutely no liquidity at least for the few ms that the computers are deciding on what the fuck was just reported.

When are you optimizing too much?

Why? I can lose 3 : 1 amount when I win over 3/4 times. Are you sure you aren't thinking Sharpe? EDIT: You aren't going to find a lot of med-high freq programs that have high profit factors. Not in all my research at least.

When are you optimizing too much?

Not if you have a sample size over 4000 winning 85% of the time. That is why PF is just total shit indicator. Everyone loves it though bc it is the easiest to manipulate.

When are you optimizing too much?

You have good thinking. IMO and this is *IMO* Last 3-6 months is fluke territory 6-12 months will most likely provide a better overall makeup of what has been going on Now updating / refining your code once you have this is a different story in these timeframes. There is a...
