I did manage to obtain 2 trading jobs in the "middle" of my prop. trading career. However, with current econonomic/market conditions I believe getting a MM or trader job is next to impossible. The few who do get a job on Broad St. or Wall St. are Ivy league MBA students - it is very competitive.

$20K per day trading listed or NASDAQ? and... how many positions? i.e. 50 stocks 400 shares a piece for .40? or several concentrated positions?

ch 11 weeds out the scammers... but the ones left standing are not to be trusted either. Who would but a trading firm these days? any firm that's failing is obviously a POS.

how much are commissions? bullets? desk fees? payout %?

how much are bullets costing at each prop firm? Bright charges .025 per share for volume traders.

the declines(selloffs) you mentioned occurred as a result of the actions taken after several conditions were evaluated... CSCO news... economic news... etc. it is the "weight" of the news that forecasts direction.

- REDI+ will not work for NASDAQ regardless of trading style - it only works for NYSE stocks and if you have a style dependent on speed or multiple stocks, you need to be a fast typist or have a "program" trading interface. - it is outdated

Every firm will only designate only so many $$$ to remote traders. When profits diminish, forget customer service. Its all about the P&L, so wake up and stop whining. Firms conduct business on making $$$ for the firm, not the trader. Some are better, but none are going out of business to...

to determine whether you are suited to be a Trader... YOU should do something else for a living and possibly trade part time.
