    Anyone use Open Office ?

it usually works decently, yes. But you can never be sure. Maybe you can try it for a while. You can always take M$ later. Besides, maybe you can ask those people to install OpenOffice. Spread the word :)

Microsoft admits Vista failure. Actions speak louder than PR

That's what I mean. People where happy with 2000, the same way they were happy with 95 when 98 came out, and it was so bad Microsoft had to make the 98 SE. Now it's the same. Sure, Vista has some major changes, but it's kind of working. Microsoft is pushing it, and at the end everyone, willing...

    Guess the chart

Yes, I would tend to agree. But it's most likely something related to oil anyway

    Guess the chart

Sorry, I thought that by "guess the chart" you meant "guess where it is going". If it's an important relationship the first thing I would think of is something related to the P/E ratio, but it doesn't look like. Okay, there is a big spike in 1990, maybe for the gulf war? Something related to oil?

    Guess the chart

Good idea, I've been thinking about starting a thread like this for a while. I'm very curious to see how good people are. I would also like to encourage people to suggest some information they would like to see on the charts. For example, I think that candlesticks (or OHLC) and volume would...

    what boils my noodles

ah, now we are talking. Meat is also good, just not only meat. I go for spaghetti De Cecco with clams, and then lamb. Maybe with potatoes. Some beef wouldn't be bad either. And a good wine. And some fruit. Maybe we should start a cooking thread.

    what boils my noodles

I'm not a yank, and meat is meat, sorry to say that. Better or worse, it's still fat and proteines. No carbohydrates, no vitamines. Diet has to be balanced.

    what boils my noodles

no way, too much meat is not good. You need less fat and more carbohydrates, or you can add fat and hypertense to your list. At least try more vegetables. And good oil. Like De Cecco :)
