IB: Several seconds after cancelling an order...

I think you are more touchy than IB, and misread the map. I'm sorry that you feel that we don't have much experience in trading or with brokers. I would be surprised if you place the same number of trades. We made two requests with the other two main brokers we trade/ have traded with, and...

IB: Several seconds after cancelling an order...

Here is more specific information: The purchase was made for Jan 2007 60 calls at $.05, instead of the Jan 2008 60 calls. It was such a bad purchase, that could have bought the 50 calls (or less) for the same $.05. We had followed the guidelines given by IB on this thread at the start of...

    Put/call option volume ratio

Is this my imagination or the reality? Am I not mistaken there has been a recent big shift in the ratio?

IB: Several seconds after cancelling an order...

How long does it take IB to make a response? Overnight, of about 20 orders for options, we had mistyped one (said Jan 2007 instead of Jan 2008 in one of the orders and bought 100 options way out of the money by mistake), and within 20 minutes used this service you have mentioned, but have not...

    Are they self-regulated?

    IB: order ticket too big?

My mistake. Thank you, it solved the problem.

    Same here.

    IB: order ticket too big?

Under "Order Columns"* we have made "OCA group" one of the selections (the word "Status" appears in bold right above it); yet it does not appear on the top of the TWS screen. *I.e. "Configure" then "Global Configuration" then "Order Column"

    IB: order ticket too big?

However, it does not provide the option of OCA group. What do you mean by the "middle of the screen"? Do you mean this very problem I mentioned of the bottom getting shaved off?

    IB: order ticket too big?

Okay, checked it out, and it was maximum screen resolution already. Thank you to both you and Bitstream for the input. I hope IB has a solution.

    IB: order ticket too big?

WHen you say screen resolution, you mean to do with TWS or to do with my computer screen?

    IB: order ticket too big?

For OCA (one cancels all) orders--that's exactly where my order ticket gets cut off. Didn't seem possible to me to send this with TWS.

    IB: order ticket too big?

Trying to reduce the window size without losing anything in the order ticket--only it seems that reducing the window size deletes even more data from the order ticket.

    IB or Thinkorswim?

No complaints, just prodding along IB: No extra charge for direct routed option orders (and you might have a special negotiated rate with them) , no cancellation fees.

    IB: order ticket too big?

It seems we are not able to place OCA orders on IB because the order ticket is too big or too big for my screen. Is there any way to reduce the size of the order tickets, or to access the bottom 10% of the order ticket?

IB - penny option pricing *now*

The info you show above is incorrect. We just sent you an email with the correct information. P.s. I am next available (on my end) to follow-up on Sunday or Monday.

IB - penny option pricing *now*

When both trades went through that was the charge shown on both "Trades" and on "Account" where it shows the portfolio and p/l for the day. Sent follow-up email with account number.

IB - penny option pricing *now*

I mean exactly what I said. IB's rates are $.75 for smart route, and $1.50 for direct routing. IB has had the price improvement function already a long time i.e. that you can enter a price improvement auction via BOX--only you then pay the direct routing rate of $1.50. In this penny option...

IB - penny option pricing *now*

Out of my 10 or so orders that we placed yesterday, two orders went through today, one for 37 options, and the other for 24 options. Only then I realized the cost of the trade is NOT $.75 per option, rather $1.50 per option!! Many people, include me, did not understand this. If I was to...

Trader ID: Does the specialist know you are the guy....

There seems to be some difference of opinion if one can be identified. Sometimes, you can trade a stock profitably for several days, then the specialist catches on to what you're doing. If you then act from a different account, will that help?
