IB - penny option pricing *now*

Problem corrected by uninstalling and re-installing Java. After much effort, found that the cause of this problem is the drawing pin at the upper right hand corner of the page.

Making big purchases at a low price

What you think the specialist/ programmed traders should be able to do all his tricks risk free? Whenever he resorts to flashing a big bid or ask, he should know it is a real risk to him.

Making big purchases at a low price

Here's the idea. No guarantee, but I think it will work. instead of just buying at ask: 1) Place a big bid at a moderate price, in a way that offers some support to the stock price. 2) if the specialist ?? (or programmed traders?? who have maybe shorted) doesn't want the price to go up he...

IB - penny option pricing *now*

Another couple of problems: 1. As of a few versions ago, we are not able to jump from IB to another internet link (nor even account balance, or trades, etc.) opened on my screen without first reducing IB's TWS first, and the time factor can be important. 2. When we have two or more orders to...

IB - penny option pricing *now*

When placing an order for options, and you are asked if you want also the underlying derivative/stock, and you say yes, it longer appears together with the option, rather somewhere else down the page.

IB - penny option pricing *now*

This problem only started recently, so seemingly it came because of the recent version: We can't add any more pages than about 10, as the system claims we already have the maximum of 26 pages.

    Specialist manipulation

The biggest question I have is where in the world are the big institutions? These programmed traders seem to have no fear there will be any institution in the world to suddenly buy 30k shares of their stuff (even if the stuck has already been drilled down to real bargain prices) and they seem...

    Specialist manipulation

In the end of the day, if you see a huge ask and the bid is being chipped away too much, I don't think you care how it's happening, sometimes you just dump.

    Specialist manipulation

Based on what your saying (including your last message), it may be either the programmed traders, or the specialists who do the job. What I mentioned does not require they initiate a downtick, rather only to scare away buyers with showing gigantic asks, which also "requires" others to sell at...

Do these guys see the "levels" on NYSE?

    Specialist manipulation

If a specialist is manipulating a stock downwards today (e.g. with the gigantic asks and no intention though of selling), how much of an indication is that of his "plans" over the next few days?

It'll be available at $.03 on IB's penny option arrangement. PM me if you want a "good deal".

IB: Several seconds after cancelling an order...

"Out of the range" seemingly is all relative. The Black Scholes value of the 60 calls, noting they were way out of the money, and noting the 50 calls (or less) could have been bought for the same $.05 is probably $.01. I.e. five times as much the was paid. I don't understand why that does not...

IB: Several seconds after cancelling an order...

Can you elaborate. We are retail, and sold a stock for about 2-3 times the market value once, and the trade was busted against us without asking us.
