Dump!! Dump!! Dump!! b/c of naked shorting.

If naked shorting goes unrestricted, common sense is to Dump!! Dump!! Dump!!, and a lack of common sense is to hold on to show your patriotism. Regardless of how strong the balance sheet, if the stock is thinly traded, shorts can & do knock it down, force margin calls & liquidations (to...

SEC Extends Order Limiting Naked Short Selling Through August 12

Obviously the naked shorting is done by the x you mention, because nobody else (or about nobody else) can do it.

SEC Extends Order Limiting Naked Short Selling Through August 12

So how do you explain the huge SHO list? Meanwhile, I agree with myself, and I agree with ak15.

Dump!! Dump!! Dump!! b/c of naked shorting.

Without tightening of regulations, that isn't true. See the SHO list which goes on forever, and meanwhile they just earn interest on everyone's money--indefinitely, with enough spare to bribe certain persons.

Dump!! Dump!! Dump!! b/c of naked shorting.

A posting like mine wouldn't help for an immediate need like that. Yes, I do have an agenda, that SEC should be exposed to unrelenting pressure to protect stock holders who supposedly are investing in shares of a company--because the alternative must be to provide them equal treatmet as the...

Dump!! Dump!! Dump!! b/c of naked shorting.

SEC Extends Order Limiting Naked Short Selling Through August 12

In that case, they should let me print money, as it would DEFINITELY increase the money supply for the economy! :D

Naked shorters still flout the system--at every window of oppty.

The only choice is to tighten the screws on them with 100% CLEAR limitations, else they will definitely take advantage. Please share any observations you have made.

SEC Extends Order Limiting Naked Short Selling Through August 12

It seems quite obvious to me that the naked shorters have not too much fear of what the SEC may soon do across the markets, and rather take advantage of windows of "opportunity" to rook people. I believe what happened to financials today is to a significant part a product of naked shorting.

Naked short rule to be applied across entire market

Of course. People were asking this question for a long time while it was happening each day.

    Clarifying day trading rules

Thank you. What I meant by "opening a new trade" is on the same stock or options symbol which I closed out from yesterday; is that what you were referring to?

    Clarifying day trading rules

If one closes out a trade from the day before, then opens a new trade, is that viewed as a separate trade, or does that use up one of the 4 round trippers?

Naked short rule to be applied across entire market

Seriously, if they can get away with as much as they do, what stops them from doing more? Seemingly, they would be able to then naked short EVERYTHING, till EVERYTHING goes to zero?

Naked short rule to be applied across entire market

Are you talking about now or before? In other postings, you've expressed tremendous confidence SEC is a busted agency?

Naked short rule to be applied across entire market

    A) So the stocks with volume up to 250k will bear the brunt of the shorting? Such stocks can often have a spread of $.05 to $.10 easily! B) Is this INSTEAD OF eliminating naked shorting?

    LNG: amazing close, please explain!

Someone please explain how this dropped from $3.03 down to $2.81 the last seconds, in the face of heavy buying occurring at the close.

DRL offers a rare options play

Most of my position I have the underlying stock; I sure wish this stock would go to $50, but realistically not to be expected. The point is the risk/return is way out of proportion, albeit I think DRL will go up nicely. Comparison: BPOP's bid is only $.05 for the Jan 08, 12.5 strike...
