More like a strategy that works on a small basis, someone at the trade desk notices what your doing, implements the same strategy, and hence limits the opportunities.

Be careful even with a broker that goes down to $2, as it's an unnecessary risk to add to the trade to assume the stocks will in the short run always stay above a certain price. Currently, there is very little correlation between actual value of the stocks & the temporary market prices.

Until this issue is clarified and/or cleared up, I wouldn't want to trade time sensitive trades with TD Ameritrade even if it was for free.
