Afternoon all! Big day today, but guess the most action is going to be late at night when Fed will release it's rate decision.

Morning everyone. Spreads on IDEALPRO (spot FX @ IB) usually behave the same way as on GLOBEX for 6E. 1-2 pips during the low volume time, 1 pip most of the EU session and 0.5-1 pip during the highest volume time (when Europe and America overlap).

After I tried to explain this "sport" thing it seems I have come to conclusion to what exactly I wanted to say: 1) You have a set of strict rules which are a guarantee of the situation cvds described to NOT happen, cause you in ALL cases will know where to limit the risk and what should and...

I don't mean the gut feel when speak about trading as a sport... Knowing indicator and price action well is not a gut feel. It's simply professionalism as a result of deliberate practicing.... It's simply when you play some sport well, you already know every trick of it and learn more and more...

Here is a squashed 1min chart of most part of Friday... I marked entries with arrows. Reasons to take the trade are usual: you watch multiple TF support/resistance levels, CCI patterns (I look for an overall shape of the indicator curves and hooks rather than a fixed amount of named patterns)...

That's why scalping is considered to be tough: because it's the hunt for several ticks and often is done without any charts at all (off DOM or tape). That's why most scalpers are institutional (they have lower commissions) or prop (for the same reason).... Pretty hard to consistently scalp on...

BTW, I also as cvds traded NQ in past, but about 8 months ago switched to FX and now trade it full time... But technical trading has much in common be it FX or SIF market...

Wow! And you call that "scalping"? :D When I traded NQ my avg. profits/losses were about the same, but I called it "intraday swing trading"... :) Well, anyway, good luck in developing a positive discussion here.

NT is free as well as long as you don't intend to execute live trades from it... :D

What are your average profits in ticks/handles per car Incognito?

QT is good s/w. But has one HUGE flaw - only up to 10 days of intraday data (even if it's like 4H bars!)... It makes it not very convenient for a trader who uses S&R and trendlines on intraday timeframes from longer periods of time back.

Pretty busy day today... Doesn't let to relax and post trades... But quite productive... Hope for everyone else too.

NinjaTrader works with IB as a datafeed very well too. And paid version can even execute live trades.

I'm no expert too, but I see a reason to short there at Mr. Black's chart... :p

Yeah, today's top was a Pin Bar. :D And really I forgot the treasure chest - hourly channel... Only concentrated on horizontal levels... Need to better learn the stuff I myself wrote when agreed with you about it... :D
