Not all trading tools are software. Mirror is a valuable trading tool also!

LOL! It's definately worth to look around, maybe many other things around us can be used to improve trading performance too, not only mirrors. :)

Not all trading tools are software. Mirror is a valuable trading tool also!

Today I asked my wife to give me small mirror women use and began to use it among my trading tools. With success! :) Some time ago I noticed that among my setups I recongize good looking bearish much worse than bullish, first always seem "not beautiful" and bad to me and I missed many good...

Is it possible to get more than usual leverage on stocks and options?

Yeah it's basically much like collars (stock is also hedged by synthetic position made of one sold and one bought option), but I just found a criteria to choose stocks which allows to build it with very low risk. Sorry, but I wouldn't like to disclose what this criteria exactly is. If only...

Is it possible to get more than usual leverage on stocks and options?

That's really great news! I also think it's nonsense to demand a full 50% of stock position when it's almost completely hedged! Well, will wait for this news rules to apply and try it again. :) Best wishes Janis

Is it possible to get more than usual leverage on stocks and options?

Thanks for advices, but I don't exactly need more money, cause if it is my money % return for me would be the same low. What I thought about is more leverage (though basically it's the same as your point 5 - borrowing money) to maximize profit. But if no then no, after all for a living I...

Is it possible to get more than usual leverage on stocks and options?

I have developed a combined stocks/options strategy which has very low risk. The only problem is that reward is very low too. :) Now the question comes: is it possible to find a brokerage firm where I would be able to trade stocks and sell stock options with more leverage than usual 1/4...

    Risk/Reward Ratio

Exact R/R is not as important as maximizing profits. For some setups 1:1 is the best way to trade, for some there is no fixed R/R at all, I just trail stop, so in reality it means that some trades close at 1:1 and some at 1:10+.

    Market meltdown time?

Big down move = more volatility. More volatility = more profit per contract and less chop in price movement. That's my formula of perception of this market. :)

    Index futures up huge overnight

What's the point in complaining about "rigged markets" over and over again? Personally I don't see anything unusual in markets last days and they're absolutely not harder to trade than usually. So maybe rather than sitting and grumbling it would be better to look at charts more often and...

I can not trade futures in this enviroment

Very reasonable conclusion! I do something similar, because US markets trade from 8:30PM my time and I simply get sleepy in the second half of US trading day. So do the following: wake up at morning and look at HSI for some time (going to begin trading it soon), then have lunch, go out to...

I can not trade futures in this enviroment

I trade from the beginning of 2005 and didn't wintess such a market before. First day of it (27th) got scared of such volatility -> did some stupid moves (was not disciplined with my method) and lost some money. Later the same day readjusted and it became better. Next day I began to...

    Options Day Trading

Not an answer, more like one more question on this topic from me. :) What kinds of trading methods and setups can be used by retail traders to daytrade options? I don't trade options much and never even thought that someone does it intraday, so just curious...

Your going to hate this brutal post

Well, guess we just think of different things when speak about "positive attitude". For me it is looking at life as an endless school of valuable knowledge and experience full of possibilities for personality growth, it is believing that since I am ready to study and work as much and as...

Your going to hate this brutal post

Don't see anything brutal absolutely! What's so bad about being your own boss -> developing in yourself very good and useful qualities of self-discipline and proper time management and even getting paid for this excellent psychological training? Positive attitude is everything. :)

    HSI broker wanted

Very interesting thread. I also began to look at HSI and made my first simluator trade on it today. Currently I trade NQ and like it, but have my own reason for looking at HSI: I live in GMT +6 TZ and have to trade at night to trade US markets. Of course after a full day of usual human...

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

And BTW, T28's "Simple profitable method" is an excellent example of absolutely realistic method which would make money in the case enough screen time is invested.
