I track the long-term cycles just for farts and giggles, and truth be told, tech has already topped this cycle. I tried posting the chart but it's too damn big.

During RTH, the price limits are 10%, then 20%, then 30% all on the downside only. For extended hours, the limit is 5% both up and down. So yeah, a 300 point AH drop in the ES is pure fantasy. I saw that post earlier and chuckled. Sometimes it's good to let people keep their fantasies.

Trading around holidays is great. You can make a profitable study of just the day after Thanksgiving. I always trade the shortened session after turkey day as it's pretty much free money. This evening is easy as well, and I've been imbibing to boot. Probably will take tomorrow off and come back...

You don't use stops to "take a loss" but you "take your stop loss." Hmm. One or both of us has had too much eggnog.

You need to include a third category of people in the world who day trade without stops: Those who do not use stops to take a loss. If you are day trading, you are in front of your screens, right? I mean, what are you doing while you are in a trade? Sitting and waiting for your stop loss...

Trading from home is the best. I don't have kids running around in the background, though. Other alternatives are a step down from that, with the worst being commuting to an office full of people you did not choose to be around all day. Well, even worse I guess would be doing that in a suit...
