Thank you. Does the symbol change as the contracts expire, or does the symbol take on the new contract?

    "Execution without Emotion"

As long as I know that the end result of following my rules for trading will result in a profit, I enter every time my rules tell me too. The same applies to taking profits and losses. Whenever I've broken my rules by pressing into a trade or letting a stock move against me more then allowed...

Prop Trading, a good use for $5000?

Rtharp and goldenarm are both right on the money. Even though the training should minimize the amount of capital you will lose, every person learns on a different curve, and you should be prepared to potentially take a big draw down. I've seen both situations with my trainees.

Prop Trading, a good use for $5000?

The capital in most firms belongs to you. If you lose 3K, you can walk out at anytime with your other 2K, as long as you not under contract. If you're under contract, the firm may hold onto your capital until the contract runs out, or a certain period of time as stipulated in the contract.

    big drawdown ...

Those drawdowns are a bitch!!! But you have to adjust to this trendless market of the last few days, and keep them small. I took my biggest hit on Monday since Demeber, cause I didn't know the market was just gonna move nowhere after the morning, and have spent the last two days mkaing it...

Best stock to watch to learn to daytrade?

Every group of stocks trade differently. So each stock has to be studied individually. Pick a stock or two from different sectors, and see how they trade. That's the easiest way. But from my experiences, every stock has their own pattern of trading.

Prop Trading, a good use for $5000?

The reason the 5K is required, is to show commitment from the trader. Too many traders came in with no money and just toyed around until they found a steady paying job. If you got money on the line, you will work hard to learn the art of trading, so you lose as little as possible. Anyone...

Is there a difference btwn scapling and momentum trading?

A scalper, by definition, is someone who's looking to take 5 to 15 cents out of a trade. A momentum player is looking to ride out the move as much as possible. The timeframes at times are the same, cause the momentum move's are sometimes fast and furious.

Unfortunately I would get killed in legal fee's. That's why they're able to get away with it.

Trade Management, Stop Management, Exit Strategy

In the end, you'll have to develop an exit strategy on your own, depending on the stocks you trade. Every stock trades differently, so even the best setup doesn't work in every stock. Same with risk management, and taking profits. If you control your losses long enough, a winner will come to...

    Who's got the best training?

I just stated the reasons why someone would setup a pay for training program. Be careful about making false accusations about facts you don't know. Read my other posts, I have actually said nice things about you guys. Your clarification of the workshop, proves my assumptions wrong. That's...

    Who's got the best training?

Probably, because like most other firms, once you get too big, it's easier to make money off the seminar, and then sit back and collect money as the day trader churns. Or you don't have enough good trainers, and want to continue to grow, but just can't offer the hands on training you were once...

Any grey hair daytrader out there?

I do qualify. If the person who traderxp says he is, he never trained under me, never worked for me, but worked for a firm, a competing firm, at Andover.

Any grey hair daytrader out there?

Actually, if you talked to my traders, I encouraged them to go to other traders. I believe you can expand your trading knowledge, by tapping everyone's brain, not just your trainers. Otherwise you become a robot, and when the trainer isn't there, you get lost.
