    Continue or Bin it?

Unfortunately, its hard to say anything with this much data. I think you need data for at least 3 months, before any conclusion can be drawn. I agree with dom993 suggestion that aiming for bigger moves and lesser number of trades might yield better results. I wish you the best!

    Continue or Bin it?

This is my recommendation: 1) Switch to IB today 2) Trade with IB for couple of months, monitor your trading and meanwhile research prop firms. Going prop will reduce your commissions much more even compared to IB, but you will have to pay monthly desk fees, software fees etc. Maybe after few...

    Continue or Bin it?

Hello Brian, You are doing 10 trades per day. Its not much, once you get hang of IB's TWS interface, you can easily click it 10 times to enter an order and 10 times to enter stop/profit or exit the position. I have done 200+ orders in a day using TWS. Its not hard at all....you might need...

It was a very nice trade, well planned and nicely executed. Do you specialize in crops and agri spreads or do you trade other stuff also?

+1 good maths stats knowledge is helpful, but to succeed at trading only high school level maths is needed. Maths Phd is probably too much.

trading costs - commissions and bid-ask spread. If you take 30 trades a week, you are paying a spread of 0.25 each time. Equals 7.25 ES points - you are losing this. If you are taking 5 trades a week, you are losing 1.25 ES points in spread. When i say 10 point stop, I am not referring to day...

I have 2 suggestions if you dont mind: 1) Instead of 2 point profit and 2 point loss, go for 10 point profit and 10 point loss or even better 20 point profit and 10 point loss. This will lead to a massive change in your trading style. Currently you are maybe trading 3-6 times in a day, thats...

    1) stocks are at all time high 2) longer term we are going towards 1950, not to say we won't touch 1895 before though 3) So unless and until you have a very good reason to short here, best strategy is to be long and wait. :)
