Dilemma in creating a system ...

Nope, not trading that per se, but sort of an idea that came to me when reading the background material supplied in the first couple of messages of that thread. The rest of the thread is mostly just people asking for clarification in some of the concepts of that system. It is really, really...

    Smacking the ER2

Hey Jessop, Yeah, things were much different back in '83 I think (I wasn't trading then). I don't think you could get those returns today with that strategy. The biggest part that I took away was how many people couldn't follow the rules. I don't remember if it was in that article or in...

Using a voice recorder while trading

I know people who have used video cameras to capture what they're doing, saying, and what the market is doing all at the same time. Seemed effective for them.... -The New Guy

The importance of 'ping' - latency/connection speed in trading.

Sorry, I should have clarified... I'm at a trading office, where I run the IT set up. We run on dual DS3's that have a very short distance to a DC that is a super POP that most everything we connect to is in also located in. From my home the times would be much, much different. Thanks...

    OIL head and shoulders

Funny, I looked at an oil chart for the first time in a while this morning and I thought the same thing... I'm not much of a TA guy however, more of a T & A... but that's a different story I suppose. -The New Guy

The importance of 'ping' - latency/connection speed in trading.

For broadband, that's pretty good. 100 or less is very respectable, but the first one: Reply from 208.245.107.3: bytes=32 time=1292ms TTL=107 is a bit of cause for concern. Do a ping -t and get a bunch of results (cntrl c to exit) and then you can see if that is a reoccuring theme over...
